I would normally keep this in the realm of my personal life, but I was so moved by this masterpiece that I simply had to share it.
The author's description:
Without further ado, it is an utmost honor to present to you,Marek Kapolka wrote:I know how difficult it is to maintain your resolve- your drive to continue creating when presented with a piece of work so magnificent, so blatantly the culmination and climax of all expressive art forms hind and hence, but think of my own tribulations that I have to look forward to. I have written my magnum opus, the greatest work of my time, at the tender age of approximately 3. I have nothing to look forward to but a long slow decline into obscurity, each succeeding work to be held up to and scrutinized in the ever fading light of my first true stroke of genius, only to be cast aside into its colossal shadow. You all have your life's work cut out for you- your long steady rise as your genius develops and your accomplishments grow in scope, but I will forever be mired in the bog of my prodigious childhood, haunted by the ghosts of my former glory.
So go now, and perform your life's work, without dawdling of course but for god's sake and your own without undue haste, because you have much more time to spend than your ancestors did, and you don't want to end up a washed up curmudgeon like I have.
