Which of the options is your favorite language, just out of interest?
Although I learn French at school (which I seriously regret choosing as a GCSE option :P), I'd probably say my favorite language would be Dutch.

Absolutely Japanese.
The more I know a language, the less I like it.

Definitely Japanese. I plan on learning at least some of it when summer break gets here.

Nah, it's pretty close between French and Japanese. But Japanese is rising and French is sinking.

I thought the point was to pick a language other than English. I guess it doesn't specify that though. I'd go with English, since it is my primary language, by my favorite language besides English is Italian.atob wrote:English by a long shot.

I'm currently studying Chinese and I might be going to China this summer, but I caught on much faster when I briefly studied Japanese. For obvious reasons, I'm much better with phonographic languages.

Japanese. I'm interested in the culture in general (mainly anime), and how it seems like an extreme extension on Chinese culture.
I would've said Chinese, but it's a notoriously difficult language to learn. Thumbs down for my inability to learn my own mother tongue.

English is underrated, I think, because it's so widely used. It is the primary language of the Internet, no? (No computer jokes, please.) There are a lot of great English words out there that are just fun to say and listen to, but are rarely said in everyday conversation.
English gets my vote, followed closely by Greek (A surprise, I know, that /Pheidippides/ likes Greek, but the root-ness of it is interesting.) and Japanese.

I love Spanish. I would like to know as many languages as I can, though I figure I won't get around to it.

Voted for German but it's a very tough call. I'm not a fan of Dutch, however.
Favourite language not on that list: Scots, because it's hilarious.

Obscene language, of course. It's just so much more fun than being polite.
