Forum moderators don't do much. They just help out with the little stuff they find in their forums that are in error.

Online studies suggest that the average community has 3% of its community as moderators.

So, with 29 moderator-or-above's, that's about 5%, yeah.

There should be some other criteria for mods. Something that'll keep it fewer. Or making the current criteria stricter.

In terms of power, they should all be equally ranked. They all have full unrestricted access to the ACP.

I think we need one more forum moderator and that they should be democratically elected. It would be an exciting new bit of tomfoolery!

Also, SlappyMcGee is too much of a loose cannon so if we need to we can give him the boot in favour of democracy.

I think the currently number of mods is pretty good, especially as everyone covers their particular area of interest or activity.

Not too sure about democratic voting. If everyone had an equal vote, what's to say the forum wouldn't all stand together and say "we want such-and-such", who could turn out to be an inexperienced jerk. While it would be nice for the community to have some input, if we're just looking at a black and white situation I'd stay with Admins choosing new mods.
