Plus it was the same size on the other two and you didn't mention it, so it must be fine.

Is this going to be made variable width? It currently only uses half of my 1680px wide screen....

The link I posted is now obsolete methinks, as Pembie's progress can be viewed on a private site that only me and him have access to. It's nearly finished, bear with us.

Seriously. Your killing me with the suspense chase. A bit faster please? I'm looking forward to what happens! This skin thing is so interesting. I can't keep my eye of it for a second.

Assuming Pembie is coding how I would, meaning make it cross browser compatible (except for maybe IE 5/6) and only coding in his spare time, I'd consider it to be moving along at a fairly brisk pace.Rikaninja wrote:Seriously. That being said, I'm also desperately looking forward to a really good skin.

Shut up. I have a life away from this forum. As samrtalco said, I do this in my spare time when I feel like doing it. I don't have a responsability to do this so be patient.Rikaninja wrote:Seriously. It occurred to me that you might want to know which browsers are popular here, so you'd know what needs to be covered for compatibility. Here's every browser with more than a 2% share of our viewers:
31.7% - Firefox 3.0
30.1% - Msie 7.0
16.6% - Safari/Chrome
8.4% - Opera
7.0% - Msie 6.0

Hey, I didn't mean to offend you. And guys, with the browser thing, is there any way of finding out which version of "IE" I have?Pembie wrote:Shut up. I have a life away from this forum. If you haven't got tabs, it's 6 and below, if you have tabs you're probably on 7 (Not many are running the 8 Beta).

Actually, now that I have been using m9orange for an hour, this looks atrocious compared to some others. But then again that's my opinon. No offence.

Rikaninja, I hope you're talking about m9orange and not my skin or something's gonna hit the fan.

Well yes. Now I'm going to delete that post as it has nothing to do with this topic. Or should i leave it? I'm confused.
Anyways, I'm still against the similarity to the old forums. In colour etc.

Alright, I'll give you some updates.
The skin is getting very close to completion, I talked to Pembie this morning and the only thing that's still bugging me generally is the search box. But other than that everything is fine. The skin should be out soon.
No dates, but soon.

Skin's up. http://forum.therealn.com/ucp.php?i=165
phpBB has an entirely stupid way of coloring usernames based on group, so there's a temporary fix in for those (because the light colors look terrible on the light background). But there should be something better coming later for that.

I personally don't like how the names are so blaagh...
the lack of images next to threads is silly... unless that's just me... and I saw version one... and thought, Yay that looks like the old forums... a lighter theme for once... and then all the newer versions are darker... that ruined it for me.
I went to the old forums the other day... they look so much friendlier...
