Why don't all the maps get sent back to you if the judges give it a yes, and you store them in a .txt file or a folder with .txt files for each map.
I like that idea.

Maybe each person keeps track of his/her own maps after they're approved, so that one person alone doesn't have every single map? as a little back up thing? So if someone loses the files, it's only a few, instead of all of them?

I've got these three maps in right now. And I do think that some of the maps on NUMA are not good enough for this pack, but ok.
I think think mine are episodic enough.
Meh 0-3
Meh 0-4

And remember people, also post your best arts and DDA's here so we can include those to.
At least, it would be nice to have an art gallery or something ;)
Hmmm, what art could I possibly want in here? xD

I've invited one person. He hasn't posted here or replied to me or anything, so I don't know wether he plans on joining or not.

That's how I think it should be. Then, no maps are lost at all. (Hopefully)

ChaoStar said not to submit the N-arts and unplayables until the playables were done.

Wow, I just noticed nonplayables are allowed.
I can provide the ddas.
I'm fairly good at them.

ummm... I did? but yes, please don't tag anuy uncompletables (ddas, arts, and tilesets) until ALL 500 main levels done.

EDIT- you know, later in the project (when it gets even MORE attention) we might even have Unreality code these levels into Nreality. ^^

so how are we going to select the judges? are we going to use an application system, or are we going to follow the proposal/list plan? once we're in phase two, maps will begin cycling through the system, and we want to have that system ready for it. so we should have the judges appointed and ready by phase two.

i would personally suggest the proposal/list plan, where one person proposes an initial list, and the community modififes it until almost everyone agrees.

...that would be the application system. that system would place all the burden on one person's tastes, and i think it would be too biased.

if you want any ddas, I have some. just look through and find a few.

hmm, some of there were quite overlooked, so they still might apply.

yungerkid and ChaoStar, you guys and I seem like the most interested in the... organization side of this pack, so why don't we come up with a list of ten that we think would be good judges, then people can pick at that and change it as they see fit?

And I think we're all agreed on this one, so I'm going to post it in big letters so everyone knows:
DO NOT SUBMIT THESE MAPS TO NUMA.

We want this pack to be shiny and new when it comes out, not a collection of some good old maps that everyone's already seen. This is big! This is exciting! This is something nobody should see except us until it's finished. Don't submit them to NUMA, and if you're using maps already on NUMA, don't tag them or in any way relate them to this pack.

Later, when the pack's almost done, I think everyone should choose their favourite map they've made for the pack and submit it as a sort of teaser for the pack, kind of the way tktktk does when a new Legacy pack's coming out.

i'd be fine with that, but i first want to make sure everyone else is okay with the concept of the proposal and the list.

How about people applying to be judges and then everyone voting?
That way there's the best from both suggestions...

Also, what should we do about the maps with the moa tag?

just remove the tag. they can still go into the pack (if they make it). i think that would be an ok suggestion, but why is a proposed list a bad thing?

This is getting too convoluted. Let's cut the crap and get this show on the road by choosing our ten judges. Or at least let's begin submitting names. I assume we're doing this on Martyr's thread.

I guess it'd be OK if the list is flexible. As in: we can add people not just remove them from the list.

In the other thread you did.

That's what I'm doing right now. What I believe were doing is you partner up with someone else (from who's participating) and you playtest each others maps. From there the maps get sent to the judges with an AGD so they can "yes" or "no" it to see if it's going into the pack.

ChaoStar: This was way un-organized from the start. Next time try to think things through.

Once we get the judging thing worked out, it'll all come clear. Read my massive post on the last page for what the whole kind of idea behind the project is going to be once we get that worked out.
