Because it's the best tool out there when doing math. I can't even count how many times I've multiplied by 1 in order to get the answer to a problem. Also, math starts with 1.

I'd have to say... aaagghh... this is so hard to choose...

10. it's nice and easy to multiply 10. and divide 10. I'm really bod at doing math in my head (I think it might be a result of my PDD?) so I like numbers that I can easily divide and multiply by.

There's three amazing numbers: 49, 55, and 60. Anyone who reads my comic knows which one I like the best, but they're all so amazing. So if number = positive integer, these are my three.

Oh yeah, but then the golden ratio thingy? That's pure genius, and is the defining factor in the most sexy equation ever. Write this: phi minus one euqals phi to the minus one. And it's TRUE! so TGR has to be my favorite irrational number. But a close second to the square root of two, which, let's face it, probably ended up killing at least a couple of people.

Transcendental? Hm... I like e more than pi. So e. It's boring. But I like it.

For complex numbers, of course, it's the roots of the quadratics using a,b,c = 49,55,60. If you're limiting me to just the imaginary part, than just plain old i is pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure there's stuff crazier than infinite and hypercomplex numbers, but I don't know much about them.

My favorite transcendental is Liouville's number, which has a one in the 1st, 2nd, 6th, 24th, etc. places and zeros elsewhere.
