First, can I get a pin? Thanks.
Second of all, welcome. This is the one-shot webcomics thread, a thread for comics that won't last much more than ten minutes of your time and require only enough prior knowledge to piss off hardccore empiricists.
Post your webcomic here if,
1) You have a smashing idea for a webcomic, but don't want to have to write more than one or two.
2) You think you have a good idea for a webcomic, but would like to hear some critique before you make your own thread.
and 3) You don't have the staying power to regularly maintain a webcomic, but would like to share a few with Metanet.
If you announce your retirement after one webcomic in its own topic like so many of you do these days, I'm deleting the topic and moving the comic here.
So, enjoy! And to get the ball rolling:

I approve highly of this.
But I don't have anything to post. Just letting you know ;)

Soon as in later. Probably post-December. However, aperture and I are in contact, so rest assured we are at least thinking about it.

K must say, excellent idea, and the comics here are all pretty awesome.
Sadly I can't be a part of this because I've already got my year-and-a-half-long or something comic, but if I get a random idea I might post it here for some others to get enjoyment out of.

I'd like to hear some feedback since I've got few more ideas, tell me shall I go on or shall I forget about making webcomics.

If you're trying to make this kind of comic, you've got to print screen and crop, or use Vista's snipping tool. Try and get the action focused in a smaller area, and make the humor less, washy? Idk. Not trying to advertise, but I think my webcomic is a good example of how to turn a screenshot or two into a comic.

I took 6 screenshots, I don't see how else could I make it. Thanks on the tips, I'll try to make one more, better one I hope.GTM wrote:If you're trying to make this kind of comic, you've got to print screen and crop, or use Vista's snipping tool. Wait, bad wording. What I meant was, to crop your screenshots unless the action involves the whole screen at once, which I wouldn't recommend.

It isn't a bad comic. The joke could use just a smidgen of work, but I could get what you were going for. Do what GTM says, and also, don't read upwards in panle two. That's against webcomic logic.EdoI wrote:I'd like to hear some feedback since I've got few more ideas, tell me shall I go on or shall I forget about making webcomics.

I recently posted a comic in Fun & Games relating to RTaB. I am thinking of continuing it so that one comic comes out every month-or-thereabouts. I am just about to start the second one now. Prior knowledge will be assumed of how RTaB works in these comics. There won't be a storyline, but I will keep the aliens and strangely named squares as they are throughout.
Should I go ahead or do you think that not enough people actually follow the RTaB thread to justify making this comic?

I understand what you mean, GTM, I should show only the event, not the whole map. But this one really couldn't be cropped. Is it any better?
999_Springs, I liked that one. I think that, if it won't follow the thread, the only thing people need to know is the concept of the game, everybody can understand it just by looking at the thread.
