What tabs do you keep open while browsing the forums?

Just another pointless Discussion topic.

For me? Usually NUMA, Gmail, Wikipedia, Pandora, my school's home website, Sports Illustrated online, and sometimes CNN.

Facebook chat, Myspace for music that can't be found elsewhere (local bands etc..), NUMA if I'm moderating, nothing else particular I can think of.

Every time someone mentions tabs, people are commenting on how they keep websites open constantly. Am I the only one who only ever has tabs for websites I'm actively using? I just use tabs to queue up my interests from the same source that I intend to hit up individually in series, closing each as I go.

You're not the only one. I keep three to four tabs open at a time, maximum. One for chat (Meebo), one for music (YouTube), and one or two for websites that I'm actively using. The only exception is if I have a lot of websites open for schoolwork or something, in which case I close them when I'm finished.

I'm not on NUMA when I don't need to be. Really is no point.
I'm not on the forums all the time.

That's what I do. Usually the tabs I have open are all related, like all from a particular forum, a particular wiki, or all webcomics.

I hate having too many tabs open so I'll only open more than one if I'm doing something specific, otherwise I'll leave it to 'idle' on Facebook.

I'm with maestro. At last count, I had 77 tabs open, and that was after closing a few. Usually a few related to homework, about twenty or thirty news articles I neglected to close after reading them, six different messageboards, two or three news aggregator sites (slashdot, reddit), around ten wikipedia articles, and a couple tabs related to whatever new something-or-other just caught my attention.
