Very nice. Awesome work chase, pembie, LV. Great to see a fresh new skin in place.

One thing I just noticed though was that links are not underlined??

I cannot see any images for new posts, locked topics, moved topics, etc.
Also, there are no links at the bottom of threads. Links like "Board index » Community Interests » Images"
I don't mind the issue with the usernames so much as that is just minor to the actual look of the skin itself. I do like the bright theme and I enjoy looking at this one more than Hermes, though it will take a little getting used to.

Seems like once everything is set in place this skin will be very good. Default this please, when all the stuff that is missing is added in.

I'd just like to say... AWESOME!

The only thing is that it would be nice if the header linked back to the board index. I find it much more convenient when this happens, and I think others would too.

Other than that though, SWEEEET! Thanks Chase and Pembie for this awesome skin.

Chrome has some problems in Chrome (:D)

first image: top off is the bottom of the homepage, bottom 100px is top of the page (sorry, I'm tired and was editing in paint)
anyway, the bottom half needs centering
the whole homepage has the subforums spaced 10px off each side (and the blue bar and black bar are off center 2px)
also, it would be really cool if you made this wider, no one runs 800x600 anymore... (and it looks tiny on my 1680px wide screen >_>)

second image:
The arrows pointing at the avys is just me suggesting to add ~5px padding on the left side (or center them)
The other arrows are pointing out bugs

I'll keep posting as I find bugs (I don't expect them to be fixed instantly, but the more you know the better, right?)

I'm really glad to see a new skin added and I have switched to it and I'm trying to get used to a white skin.
Only thing I dislike is that the only way getting to the board index is clicking that small 'Board index' button in front of '>> XXX >>XXX'. It would be much better if the title is also a link. The second thing that bothers me is a very similar issue to the first one - the NUMA logo is not a link that points to the NUMA.
I hope these will be fixed.

Ah!
This is a cool skin, about time there was a light coloured one, like in the old forums.
But.. I have the same problem as Smatalco, But just the one with the Black block down the bottom being off center, a little to the left as it should be. I am using firefox with a 1280*900 screen..

Most things should be working now with the skin, as I find things that arn't right I'll fix them up. RSS also works now (mostly), go looking for it ;)

And yeah, if you find something that doesn't look right and stays looking like that for 24 hours, PM me.

This part is still failing.
I believe there is a way to force a string of text to wrap even if there is no space, I don't remember what it is though
The easier solution would be to just make the "NUMA Profile" text link to the profile, instead of just printing the link below it
And seriously, make it wider (dynamic width would be best, just make sure it looks fine at 800px wide if someone really only has that wide of a window)

I don't know if this has been reported yet, but if a post has images in it that are larger than the skin, it quickly looks ugly. Perhaps you could resolve that somehow?

ALright, I'll start working on a larger width style. It might take a lil bit though.

Hmm, this is very confusing how some bugs have appeared when applied now. Very odd.

Smart I'm getting what you're after, that's the sort of thing we're trying to do.

Still, this is now a Bug Report thread, where we'll try and fix things ASAP. Any expert coders who can help to fix problems should contact Pembie.

TBH I'd prefer it if it was a bit wider, it feels a bit cramped. I see that someone already suggested this, so I'm all in for this. 300px would be great, so you can fit a whole row of six squares (900px) into one line.

Also, we could change the group colours and remove the blue-grey background, but it would be a hassle if people are using different skins. It really doesn't fit, TBH. We could choose a darker colour for normal members that is bright enough to be read easily in the darker skins.

Also, when people have some super-long locations (like Tunco123's), you could lengthen it, so it fits the gap above the profile to the left of the post.

Also, it would be nice if there was a jump to post in each topic.

Otherwise, I really like it - good work.

Personally I think that changing the location field so you can't type whatever the hell you want would fix it. But for now that's fine. Removing the group backgrounds is an odd one considering it didn't originally exist and originally worked fine. Also the stretching of the page, that's generally a match the res one where the skin scales to match the resolution of the computer currently browsing it.

I'm reposting this here, since I put it in the wrong thread originally

I forgot to point out my edits in red arrows, but there are 2 things in this image
1) Could you add a Board index >> Community Interests >> Technology and Programming thing to the bottom? This is where I use it most, as I post, and then click the link to get back
2) the "You can..." things on the bottom right are about 30px too far out (this may be because I'm a mod, not sure if that'd make a difference

Also, I'll probably be on IRC friday night and can help then, after that I'm going on a spring break trip until next thursday, and I can probably help quite a bit from then on (midterms are done, massive drop in workload)

1. Maybe.
2. You've got off lightly. If you've seen what I get you'd be scared. Still that's the BIG one.

My usual sigbar order (and that's how it's supposed to be!) is:
1,2
3,4
5,6

But in Chrome it's:
1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6

And that makes it looks massive. I think that this problem is because Chrome is more tight than the other two skins, and two sigbars can't fit into only one line. Will this get fixed?

It won't get fixed because it isn't essential, try putting your sigbars into a spoiler using your main sig as the spoiler image.

If you hadn't gathered, large sigs annoy me.

  • I agree that everything feels a bit noisy/cramped; there's too much gray space around the posts. I think if you expanded the main content, it would look much nicer.
  • There's a little space at the bottom of the page, beneath all the content; I think it'd look nicer if that disappeared.
  • The username background is an eyesore; you should get rid of the background color and border.
  • Personally, I'm not a fan of dashed underlines. I'd prefer if links had a solid underline, but it's up to you.
Aside from those things, this is superb so far.

Yes I love the colouring, yet I hate how it is all to hectic, clumsy and squished. I just changed out of it because it was too confusing for me. I'm not used to these icons, the coloured circles were more user-friendly than these complex icons. Mainly because I barely spent anytime on the other forums. But hey, I'm looking forward to the changes, is there are any.

Everything is great, but I really HATED"no offense"the outline colours of the member names.

Look to the member names,it looks bad, cancel the outlines(black)and just let the name and it's colour stay. And if you use white and contrast a lot, then you need to make softer edges(roundy edges)and softer colours,it'll be great.
