When I'm posting here, I would write like I normally speak, then go back to fix any grammar mistakes. Sometimes I over-analyze what I say, even though its not that deep most of the time, I want to make a good impression.
How do you do it? Do you go back and rephrase what your saying until your post is right, or do you just type what you mean, and click Submit, looking at spelling errors at the most? Maybe neither.
Honesty would be appreciated, of course. I think this would be interesting,

I almost always type out my response, post it, then read it. I think hit Edit and correct any mistakes. I often actually edit the post and add a paragraph with additional thoughts shortly after posting it for the first time, if no ones made a new post yet.

I normally write my whole post, then go back for any mistakes, that I didn't find along the way, and then I submit. Normally I reread it afterwards, just to make sure that the right post got submitted.
I usually would write how I would speak. Unless it is in a different format.

I normally type it out as if I would normally say something as well. I fix mistakes on the spot though. And only if I see any, but most of the time, I miss a lot, and edit them after submitting it.
It seems as though I speak with more emphasis and maturity under the Debate forum, it's like obligatory for me to do so. And it's the only forum where I rephrase a lot, and spend a chink of my time rethinking before submitting. Otherwise, it's me talking normally..

I just post whatever I think goes. I check for spelling errors after I post. Horrible habit.

I think I always try to write more formally than I speak. Of course, I speak pretty formally.

I just type stuff. It comes to me just like speaking. I also type pretty fast, and do make the occasional error, so thank goodness for dynamic spellcheck. It's quite useful. Although, now that I think about it...

If I'm actually trying to write a reasoned, substantial post, I take the time to draft it and come up with orderly. Otherwise, I just type whatever comes out of my head.

I pretty much do exactly what you do, except that I rephrase it frequently if it sounds even a little off.

I'm generally colloquial with my posts, if not a little too much at times. Basically I'll type whatever comes to my head first and then edit any mistakes.
But if I were to reply to a post in, say, Debate, I'd have to plan what I'd write and it'd be very formal.

I wanted to draw a flowchart, honestly. For a while there, I honestly couldn't think of any other way to explain it. It was honestly bugging me for at least ten minutes.Brttrx wrote:When I'm posting here, I would write like I normally speak, then go back to fix any grammar mistakes. Honestly, though, I type up something as it comes to mind, and then look it over to see if I relied too much on BS like "honestly".
I also, uh, try to work some kind of joke in if I can.
Honestly.

I'm actually a government experiment. "Tsukatu" is actually ~5.8 million chimpanzees in a null-time pocket typing randomly on typewriters.

Um, I don't tend to make grammatical or spelling mistakes, so I don't go back over my posts once they're done, I just submit them.

For the purpose of humor I was not gonna post to prove a point, but I totally ruined it.
No, recently I post only when I really feel the need to. I'll try to point something out that seemed very thoughtful to me at the time and I look at every word I type for good measure.
Also If I can get away with saying what I type then I've probably typed something tolerable enough.

If I spoke, like I, er- if I typed like I, uh, spoke then people would would be pissed off a lot. It's surprising, like, uh, how much— how much people cut themselves off mid, um, mid-sentence, y'know.
