As for those of you, if there are any, who are wondering why I haven't updated the list, I WILL GET AROUND TO IT.FIRSTPOST:D wrote:There are many acronyms on the NUMA website that not all players understand. This topic is made to explain them. The acronyms found here are only the ones related to NUMA, of course.

Also I'm curious why my old IRC nick is first. Wouldn't it be smarter to use the person's current/original username and list all nicknames for them before or after it?
anyway, if you think that suggestion is good I'd like mine to be:
southpaw - Pawz, Manus Australis, origami_alligator, southpawPOWPOW
______
The original thread had the nicknames of well-known authors in it as well, but they weren't separated and they were very well known authors.Blackson wrote:This initial intention of this thread was to provide users the knowledge of universal Acronyms, rather then those applied to authors.

I believe only people who have been around long enough to have warranted a common nickname and/or those with multiple usernames across NUMA, the forums or IRC should be allowed up there.
That said, the intention of this thread was to provide newer users the knowledge of commonly used acronyms/abbreviations on NUMA and otherwise, for both common strings of words (Quoted For Emphasis, Don't Do Anything, All-Gold Demo) and well-known community members (astheoceansblue/atob, Fingersonthefrets/FOTF/Frets, etc.).

I think I'll be able to update more often, provided you guys share your acronyms, seeing as summer is over. Sorry to have kept you waiting.
