This isn't a poll option, so I'll just say it here. I think that we should get four packs next time, and we can choose the four packs we want to use from those new packs and the packs we didn't use out of the eight we received this week.

I was thinking 7 (2 of all but rule, + 1 rule) but then I changed my mind. I like 4. Sure, sometimes you get REALLY bad combinations, but I think it's a lot more challenging, fun, and interesting having to use whatever you are given. So, I vote 4. One other possible idea is to send out 8 as 2 packs, but the participant must choose either 1 pack or the other, and cannot mix packs.

I think I prefer just 4 packs still though.

First of all, you can't be eliminated from the contest. Please read through all of the spoilers in the first post. Also your name isn't on the member roster so I'm surprised you got sent packs this round.

That has actually been the plan the entire time, rendering the poll kind of irrelevant. Eight maps every week would've been a pain in the ass.

So here is how the next round is going to work:

You receive only four new packs.
Take the four you decided not to use from the previous round for a total of eight.
Pick four to actually make your map with.

The only reason you were even sent eight in the first place was so that we could try the above system, so we are going to for at least one round before changing anything again.

Since I was going to wait to explain that particular tidbit until announcing the pods on Sunday, I will just do that now as well.

I noticed that too. It's strange that they are still working in signatures and older posts. And while we can't stop you from PMing us your ideas, we'll be obligated to totally ignore them since that is what we're using to reward participants. Your entire incentive to win is that your pack ideas will be added.

NUMA has changed from "nmaps.net" to "www.nmaps.net". The NUMA tags don't work with the "www.", so just delete it and it'll work.

and were u going to create a website and a new system of organization 4 all the packs when we start getting to 1000 of them (cuz if u did that would be amazing so u could view packs, winners, blogs, etc.)

And don't worry about tagging your pod. In other words please don't, it'll confuse things with round number.

When new people join we send them their packs for whatever round is currently underway so they can go ahead and get started. Pods are shuffled every week, but unless the newbies specifically ask to join starting at the next round, we go ahead and stick them into a random pod, without reshuffling everyone else.

We try our best to make sure that you don't get impossible combinations, but if you do, or if we accidentally send you not enough or too many of a certain kind of pack, let us know. Like, someone last round accidentally got an extra booster pack instead of a rule. If you think something is wrong with the packs you received, let us know. And that reminds me that we need to reword Oh My God! Something Went Horribly Wrong! so that it grants you the six extra gold if you don't already have it.
