2nd on 60-0 speedrun. Spent ages trying to improve it, god knows where xaelar got that extra frame off!
Nice 3-1.

24-3. Tons of room for improvement but I need to stop playing for tonight, I am simply amazed though that no one had thought of it already.
Numerous ex-0ths (xaaaaeeeelaaaar!), over 300 top-20s and a 19+ hour total score.

Nice run! I was just fooling around with that route I think this CJ on the third group of gold above the tiles is faster. The rest of the run is shit.

ok, this is a poor example of a new route design that I'm working on but I just have to show it for the bizarre behavior of the seeker drone on the bottom.

Edit: I've had completions (still skipping one gold of sub-980 frames).

157.05 with that route, dark...
I don't know what to think about that. It's much harder but has much potential, too.

I came to the conclusion that it's not faster, but I could be wrong. I'm surprised you got that high of a score with it xaelar.

I grew bored of fooling around with that level but if you guys want I'm pretty sure I can come up with a better route (no guarantees though).

This glitch also happens with laser drones such as this

This works when you only spend one frame on the floor and jump the next. I suspect that it has to do with the AI of the drones and it takes one frame to acknowledge that you are within its sights, then one more to find the direction that you are from it. But I really have no idea how the chase AI works.

If that is true, then how come you don't need to be on the ground for it to 'seek' you.
I think we need to get M or R onto this.

because all drones share the brain together

each frame only one drone has access to the brain

so if you are in its sight but it doesnt have the brain access at that frame, it doesn't see you

But aren't there a number of frames in Darkshadow's example where the ninja is in the drone's "sight"? Or is its line of sight a very narrow horizontal line? i.e. in the frames just before and after the ninja touches the floor, he is actually outside this narrow line.
