These forums allow us freedom in a lot of ways, albeit in ways that are probably over the heads of normal members like me. If there are things that bug you, just have a little faith that they will be worked out in time. We've got good people.

I cant stand this new skin. It's hard to look at. I wish it was similar to the old one. :/

I'm sorry to sound snippy, but can you read? You can select the skin you want. There are several bright ones. And more might come soon, some of which might be sexy and uniform and there might be a new default skin. I'm typing in short, simple sentences for a reason. Please, please, please... read the thread you're replying to before you reply to it. The rules and FAQs are also there for you and everyone else's benefit.

you misread the bold, allcaps, underlined text? and you didnt look at the other 4 pages, half of which is people complaining about the skin?
i can believe that. o_0

is anyone else loving the numa tags a lot? :D map rating/commenting threads are going to be much more intuitive. or at least, graphical. cant wait for more modules and extensions.

Did you read wedgie's post? The one at the top of the page? You probably didn't, but it was a simple mistake, no?

It said, 'Chill out'. He apologized, you know. Lets try be a little more helpful, rather than stone every sinner.

I think our biggest problem is that a lot of people have, in two or three days, figured every problem needed to be solved immediately upon joining the new forums. As if that's how it came to be on the Forumer.com forums, initially. Stuff is slow. I know, you're Internet lives are moving at a breakneck pace. It probably makes it all the harder to accept that it'll be at least a week or two before stuff gets hammered out.

However, it's going to be an extensive project tracking down the right mods, having the community help with the styles, and sorting out all the real complaints from the negligible ones. When we fix the forums, it'll be all at once, because it requires that we take them down temporarily to sort things out.

Well said, Dave. People need to really read this post. I have said on a few occasions, in some different topics, that whining about stuff is not really the answer. One person needs to bring it to the attention of one of the administrators, and I'm sure they will get to it. It's not like our forums are in the hands of lazy people. They are going to work out the kinks and the -little- things, eventually. There are coding aspects that need to be resolved, and just a whole lot more important stuff to get taken care of before we talk about forum layout and all that trivial stuff. Your complaints are going to be taken care of. This forum has existed less than three (<3) days. Let's give these guys some time, shall we?

Thanks. I just logged in and found myself promoted, quite the surprise :)

After a brief period of adjustment (some internal thrashing and moaning, what the hell were they thinking etc..) I've grown very accoustomed to the new set up. The clour scheme is great: it has this retro-geek feel to it, very early ninties gaming.

The added functionality is a blessing, especially the html tags now appearing where you selected them to rather than at the end of the text. The mp3 and map tags are also brilliant.

This is a great move that'll benfit the community no end.

Yes congrats! (=

These new forums are sweet! I'm lovin' the new features, reading down the FAQ page nearly gave me goosebumps =p I was especially intrigued by the new poll/posting options, and the ability embed mp3's and map/demo data directly into your post :D

Huge thanks to you guys for goin' through all this for our little community. Seriously. Keep up the amazing work!

edit: On this new dark skin, if you're really tired, all the letters in each post look 3D. Incredible.
ps: I'm really tired.

edit2: Woah, after I submitted that, everything turned purple :D Much better!
