basically I had a map and initially it appeared like 6th on the hot maps page, but i check again a couple of minutes later and it wasn't on the first 3 pages. I don't understand how this is possible because there were other maps that also had no votes which were submitted earlier than mine and still on the "hot maps" page. What's the deal?

Other ones got a lot of comments???
Maybe some people subbed maps. If it doesnt get anything, it just keeps going down.

haha that's total bullshit and unfair.
it's just reappeared on the 2nd page after delisting it and relisting it a couple of times..
I'm gonna resubmit.

Unfair? How is it possible to do it any other way? If people submit maps after you, they appear above you, unless you've been rated up. More likely than not the reason your map shot _down_ is because people rated it poorly.

This also happened to me. It turned out that my map was in 'limbo' between the first and second hot maps pages and when someone submitted a map, it finally appeared at the top of the second page. Weird.

I don't think we're talking about it disappearing off the first page. What I got out of it is that Ska's map was on the first page, then minutes later was nowhere to be seen on the first six pages. It eventually reappeared on the second page.

Am I right?

Ska, I think this is what happened to you. Your map was pushed down a few spots; instead of a new glitch, it was under the influence of the old stuck-between-the-first-two-pages glitch.
