Well since I am not making any more maps in NUMA due to some recent problems, i need something to do...
I noticed recently a lack of N-arts, which are n maps of art that are unplayable. So, i want to introduce my competition of the best n-art.
My definition of an N-art and what would be required for the competition are:
1) absolutely no tiles... those type of ahem.. narts.. are really tilesets... please limit/avoid the amount of tiles in your nart for the competition.
2) using more than one object: more objects equals more color, making it better.
heres my criteria of how im going to rate your maps...
10% The use of objects, see above.
15% Originality, the ability to create something unique from others.
25% Aesthetical Appeal, the ability to make it look nice.
50% Others, the ability to make it appealing to others on NUMA (the rating, the number of people that rated it, etc.)
MAKE SURE THAT YOU SUBMIT YOUR MAP HERE TOO... NOT JUST ON NUMA, I might not see your hard work unless it it here too...
Have fun all making that N-art!!!
The end of the submissions will be June 25th, one month from now... this date is far in advance due to the time it takes to make a good n-art.
Examples of what Im looking for:
Use Of Objects = 10 pts out of 10
Originality = 10 pts out of 15 (pokemon are more common n-arts)
Aesthetical Appeal = 20 pts out of 25
Others opinion = 44 out of 50 (average rating of 4 + half of 8 total ratings)
Total = 84/100
Tell me if your interested in this competition!!!!!

N Arts generally take a lot of time really... I know the deadline is a month in advance but most people don't have the time you have to make great N arts you do, so I'm not really sure many people would want to do it. If this gets people in then I'm sure it would be a great contest, with some great N Arts, but I won't join because I just don't have the patience and time now to NART. Plus, I'm crap at NARTS.

could have done this before I left...
And I think your way of rating is stupid... 'cause, aesthetics should be the largest part of the rating. and you should have more than one judge, to avoid bias.
also this crap about multiple kinds of objects is silly. you say "more objects is more colourful, meaning it's better"
80% of my arts were monotonous, and yet I was told that I made some of the best N-arts out there. and I have seen plenty of colourful arts which weren't as good as a lot of monotonous or shaded (single coloured) arts.

Go to editing the first post, you should see "Delete post" option. The whole thread should disappear with it.

Wrong. You can only delete your post if it's the last post in the thread.EdoI wrote:Yes, you can do that.im_bad_at_n wrote:ok i realized that the competition was a mistake, sorry all!

If you're a good enough hacker, you should be able to delete it. However, since you're asking this, you're probably not, I suggest asking it on some forum about cracks & hacks.im_bad_at_n wrote:yeah, i figured that out when i couldnt find the "delete" button anywhere...

Joke on a side, ask Pheidippides, some of the administrators or global moderators to do it. But there really isn't any reason: if nobody posts anything, this should be on the second page in a week.
