Depends. If you're talking a contest or something, then I'll be all in and we'll see. Now, if you're talking about if each member were to post maps independently? I highly doubt any of them would get much attention these days.

Also, suppose that we do something like that, not everyone's map would get the same attention.
And, could you please explain what you are talking about, Inspired?
And if we do a contest, it would need lots of time, lots of planning, and lots of good members that would support it.

What would be awesome is if there was a mappack featuring all the legends.

If all the old authors posted a map, people who have been here for three months would probably complain that their maps were being pushed off the front page too quickly by a flood of worthless noob maps.
A map pack or something would be cool, though. Even if it were just one map per person.

Considering the today's NUMA hot maps system, users that would visit NUMA in the moment when there's an old author's map would probably RCE the map, and keep it on the first page a bit longer. That would continue, most of people visiting NUMA would see that map, it would probably reach 30+ ratings. And you also need to consider the effect of Hot Maps hit, that says when there's a map that's likely to stay longer than five hours on top of frist page, people will submit more rarely, because their map won't be on top, and there would be more snipers than on usual maps.
And, off topic, how did you change the username, Inspired? I went to see is it possible in the UCP, but it's not. Not that I would change mine, though.

I don't think you're quite right that they wouldn't get attention; I make a point of searching you guys' names every few weeks so I don't miss an Aju or Baraba map or something. Anyway, some sort of Camisade or Vehemence revival, with a ton of great mappers doing a few collabs, would obviously be cool.Ampersand wrote:Now, if you're talking about if each member were to post maps independently? A condensed, concentrated map pack of new maps from old legends would be pretty sweet. 1 map each though. Definitely. Each author would pour as much as they could into their map.

There's a lot of people that should totally make some more maps, not naming any baranabajanagals or anything. Names.
Screw trying to define ancient (Kablizzy is. No one else), just try and get everyone who's still around but not making maps to make some more maps :P

Are half the people we would consider be contactable? Or even willing to do something like this? Mmm...
