how about activating * +1 points to encourage ppl to post their best run? So the current 0th will submit his best run to prevent other ppl gainning *

The problem with that is that there have to be enough subs for the * to be awarded. It makes such an award more unpredictable.Unreality wrote:how about activating * +1 points to encourage ppl to post their best run? So the current 0th will submit his best run to prevent other ppl gainning *

Golden Player: xaelar - 148.700 (+1 point)
Who made the cut: 9/20 (+1 point)
PLACE - PLAYER - SCORE = POINTS THIS ROUND = OVERALL POINTS
Group One:
FIRST - Izzy - 143.425 = 5 points = 13 points
SECOND - Infernus - 142.925 = 4 points = 14 points
THIRD - Be_Inspired - 0.00 = -1 point = 0 points
FOURTH - SlappyMcGee - 0.00 = -1 points = -1 points
Group Two:
FIRST - xaelar - 148.700 = 6 points = 17 points
SECOND - esay - 139.850 = 3 points = 10 points
THIRD - Kablamo_Boom - 0.00 = -1 points = 0 points
FOURTH - Alex777 - 0.00 = -1 points = -3 points
Group Three:
FIRST - romaniac - 145.450 = 5 points = 16 points
SECOND - vankusss - 143.575 = 4 points = 12 points
THIRD - LittleViking - 0.00 = -1 points = 0 points
FOURTH - BNW - 0.00 = -1 point = -1 points
FI
Group Four:
FIRST - ToeFaceKiller - 148.550 = 5 points = 13 points
SECOND - golfkid - 143.575 = 4 points = 13 points
THIRD - Avarin - 143.475 = 3 points = 7 points
FOURTH - Guiseppi - 0.00 = -1 points = -3 points
Group Five:
FIRST - KinGAleX - 144.425 = 5 points = 15 points
SECOND - Riobe - 0.00 = -1 points = 6 points
THIRD - UniverseZero - 0.00 = -1 points = 0 points
FOURTH - Leaff - 0.00 = -1 points = -3 points
The top two finishers from each group advance to the next round, plus two wildcards (read first post):
FIRST - xaelar = 17 points
SECOND - romaniac = 16 points
THIRD - KinGAleX = 15 points
FOURTH - Infernus = 14 points
FIFTH - ToeFaceKiller = 13 points (total score: 421.625)
SIXTH - Golfkid = 13 points (total score: 415.975)
SEVENTH - Izzy = 13 points (total score: 414.800)
EIGHTH - vankusss = 12 points
NINTH - esay = 10 points
TENTH - Riobe = 6 points
ELEVENTH - Avarin = 7 points
TWELFTH - LittleViking = 0 points (total score: 137.725)
So without further useless record keeping:
xaelar vs. LittleViking
romaniac vs. Avarin
KinGAleX vs. Riobe
Infernus vs. esay
ToeFaceKiller vs. vankusss
Golfkid vs. Izzy
You will all be competing on the same map, however there are no more points. Your only competitior now is the person you are versed against. If at the end of the round your demo is higher than theirs, you advance to the next round.

You forgot that I use the name Nexx again. :P
Also, esay has 10 points in the top of that post, but he only has 9 points in the overall ranking list.

I didn't forget about the Nexx/Avarin Conversion. I just used the names interchangably.
And esay getting a 10 vs. a 9 doesn't change his ranking at all. He is still vs. Internus (Dan_K)

True. I was just pointing it out.kkstrong wrote:And esay getting a 10 vs. a 9 doesn't change his ranking at all. He is still vs. Internus (Dan_K)
Then why are you claiming that I didn't submit a score? It's right there at 143.475. It doesn't change the outcome - I'll still be against romaniac - but dude, where's my score?kkstrong wrote:I didn't forget about the Nexx/Avarin Conversion. I just used the names interchangably.

Erm, excuse me but I have subbed my demo before the deadline, and it is faster than Izzys.

Yeah, because I really fucked up...
Two things can happen:
1) I have re-do round 5 with a new map...
OR
2) Just let everyone into round 6 who won initially, AND the people who won by the -actual- deadline (about 5.5 hours from now).

Why can't you just undo Round 6 and extend the deadline on the current Round 5? Then take those winners, as you were planning on doing. What's wrong with that?kkstrong wrote:Yeah, because I really fucked up...

Also he posted the demos at that point, which kind of defeats the purpose of private contest.

Well, I'm fine with being knocked out because xaelar posted a faster demo than me. Our runs were and are the same, his is just faster, meaning that it doesn't make a difference to us that kkstong posted the demo's. It would be unfair on him if I were allowed to stay in this after he spent "several hours" on a demo to knock me out.
I don't know what to do about the Infernus vs Izzy part though.
I vote for the next round to be xaelar vs TFK vs whoever wins/won out of Izzy and Infernus
