Back on the the old forums, I published a comic. Well, three, but I'm referring to the last one. The one people liked, and I asked if I should reinstate it after it died. And people said that I should. But I never did... :(

Anyway, I will republish it on this forum. Undoubtedly. However, I was thinking of hand-drawing it, but there are a few problems with this.

First, if I do have access to a scanner, it will only be once a year, at my grandparents' house, which I visit every summer. Second, since I don't have fifty-two hand drawn comics prepared (my plan was to update once a week), you won't be seeing it for a year if I scan them.

Second, my other option would be to take pictures of my comic with a digital camera (how crude). This may lead to bad quality, but you'd get them sooner.

Third, I don't have the best handwriting, but that can be solved. Going along with this is my drawing skill, although now that I consider it it doesn't seem too bad...

The problem is, it has been so long since I've used a computer to draw anything that I'd have to practice for a while to get back in the game, and you wouldn't see much of my planned comic for a while (but not nearly as long as if I waited to scan them).

So I leave it up to you: wait a year and have probably-good quality scanned hand-drawn comics, wait a few months and get okay computer drawn comics (you'd probably get some before then, but not relating to the storyline), or wait a good week and get horrible quality hand-drawn comics - horrible because they were uploaded with a digital camera; the drawings themselves would be the same.

I say wait and get high quality. There is no timer on quality!

Never camera pics. I thought I'd try that once, and yeah. No. They're not even readable.

If most of your stuff can be easily done with in-game graphics/online screenshots/sprite sheets, I'd say go ahead on the computer. And I doubt it will take you that long to get to/past the quality that you were at before.

Otherwise, sure, use your scanner.

Other valid reasons for not scanning are you have to keep those papers clean for an entire year. And if you're making-not-posting for 52 comics, it's easy to give in to indefinite procrastination.

Soon as in later. Probably post-December. However, aperture and I are in contact, so rest assured we are at least thinking about it.
