Those who wanted him in jail back them would have believed him to be a child molester, which I don't think deserves any respect in death. I'm not one of those people, by the by. This is a rather sad and (somehow fittingly) bizarre way for the man to go out. Yes, Michael Jackson may be dead, but he's not going to be gone for a while.Zilla wrote:That would be because the guy is dead. Whether or not you think he belonged in jail or was a freak of nature is irrelevant. As long as they weren't mass murderers in life, showing respect to the deceased is both accepted and encouraged. You didn't have to like him. Just respect his death and move on.McP wrote:im pretty pissed now that a bunch of people who didnt give a shit about him prior to today all of a sudden have bleeding hearts and lame facebook statuses saying how great he was. After all, plastic can take thousands of years to decompose.

I personally don't really care about his death. I mean, I liked his music, and he was a kick-ass dancer, but I'm not nearly as distraught with it. It happens. I guess, since I'm not as old, or as into music as the rest of you, I can't really relate. Sorry.

Won't you give it a try?
So we like the way we dance baby
When notes come to you
I know i love you
You're all i see
My smile is a rifle
And what are you?
My smile is a rifle
I'm pointing it at you
My smile is a rifle
You'll know when you bring me in from the rain

Did his death actually transform him into a former flying cancer-curing rainbow unicorn, though?Zilla wrote:That would be because the guy is dead. Like, really. My problem is that everyone *loves* him now because he died, rather than them simply saying R.I.P. like most of the people in this thread. It's like the girl at Skyline's school who died while speeding without a license and texting at the wheel (Only the Good Die Young.) People thought she was a bitch, but for a while afterward she was a fucking angel. It bothers me.

Because we all know that Michael Jackson was completely non-notable before he died. His death is the only thing that will make him remembered for anything at all. That whole "King of Pop" title he's gotten over the last few days? Ridiculous.Wight wrote:Did his death actually transform him into a former flying cancer-curing rainbow unicorn, though?

Anyway, everything that needs to be said has been said, most especially by Dave at the top of the thread. I will say that it'll be a different feeling now every time I come across an MJ song on my iPod.

Lots of fake MJ jokes goin' around. Another popular one claims that MJ died from eating 12 year old nuts.capt_weasle wrote:I received a text reading, "Because MJ was 95% plastic, he will be melted into lego blocks so little kids can play with him for a change." I cringed but laughed. Anyway, I heard on the radio that has a bunch of Jackson memorabilia which included a bunch of unpublished music. That would be interesting to hear.
I hope you people get that one. :/
