Now I realise this isn't entirely related to gaming, but I figured this subforum would have the greatest amount of energy drink consumers. Myself, I prefer Red Bull because it seems to be of much higher quality than the other drinks on the market. But don't get me wrong, Bawls, NOS, and Venom are also good.

You put this in gaming and then failed to include Mana Potions as an option? Pfft. Moved to Discussion.

Those are energy shots, not drinks, there's a difference. You could just vote "other".Atilla wrote:You put this in gaming and then failed to include Mana Potions as an option? Pfft. Moved to Discussion.

Definitely Red Bull. Monster is ok and one other one here in the UK that you haven't put on the list called 'Relentless' is quite nice too, but you can't beat red bull.

Definately Mother.
Also, the advert for it (live action one) really appealed to me. :)

Coke?
The only energy drink I've ever drunk was Red Bull and the other only "energy drink wannabe" I've ever drunk was Aquarius.
But yeah, Coke and Coffee does it for me as energy drinks.

Energy drinks tend to do little for me in terms of an energy boost - I tend to drink them based on taste. And thus, why isn't V there? It's an awesomely tasty drink.

Given that most of the options are things which I have never seen for sale, anywhere, I'm thinking it's a regional thing.George wrote:Energy drinks tend to do little for me in terms of an energy boost - I tend to drink them based on taste. And thus, why isn't V there? It's an awesomely tasty drink.

My boss always sends me down the street to get her Rockstars during break. I comply 'cuz she's a lot nicer with a little sugar in her system. Personally, I don't drink poison.

Energy drinks don't have any noticable effects on me in non-lethal doses, but Sobe tastes so fucking good, I drink it for the taste.
Also, isn't Gatorade an energy drick?

No, it would be a sports drink. I think energy drinks are being defined for the purposes of this poll as "beverages which are full of stimulants and do not contain alcohol".

Yeah, in New Zealand we have a rather different range to whats in the pollAtilla wrote:Given that most of the options are things which I have never seen for sale, anywhere, I'm thinking it's a regional thing.George wrote:Energy drinks tend to do little for me in terms of an energy boost - I tend to drink them based on taste. Other than the ones in the poll list, we also have:
Mother x2, Ink, Cocaine x2, V x5, Demon x3, Angel, Tab, QF Energy (my favourite), Power Horse (which is just awesome, but it tastes terrible), Shot. There's bound to be more though...

Unless mountain dew counts, none.

I've always thought mountain dew had a reputation/marketing strategy as being a wimpy sugar drink, so I was really surprised when they brought these tough "do the dew!" kind of ads.
There's an energy drink called cocaine? That just isn't right.
