I've posted my troubles with love a couple times here, and have begun to be curious as to what you other pplz are experiencing. Ups? Downs? Anything, just post it here.

As stated, I've posted my problems before, but if you guys are curious enough (and haven't gotten sick of hearing it...) I'll share it once more.

Not always. Losing the one you love is much much worse than never loving at all. I know firsthand. If you've never loved, you don't know what you're missing.

In a sense, I guess you're right, though.

I've always wondered that. What is this obsession these days with coolness? Especially for younger people, it's only really the "cool" kids that get all the girls/boys, which ticks me off. I can't change that fact, if most girls want to date happless retards then fine by me.

You can see now that I wasn't one of the "cooler" kids.

What about violence? I thought most girls were peaceful, but no. They like chavs, and people who think trying to get a knife in someone's back without them noticing is a sport. And then us pacifists are just left to ourselves. Friends with girls, but no girlfriends.

Maybe it's a lack of romanticism, or something like that, but it's like I'm on one side of a wall (unintentional joke) peering over to the other side where everyone is having fun. How do you get past? No idea, because everybody left without saying? Is there a door? No idea. People could call over said wall, but it doesn't give much effect.

Then again, I'm the sort of person that waits to see what the flow of life delivers to my shore. I'll probably swim eventually, but for now I'm fine with sandcastles (and rather random analogies...)

What's a chav?

edit: seriously! I've asked before but didn't get a straight answer. from wikidictionary: "A working-class youth, especially one associated with aggression, poor education, and a perceived "common" taste in clothing and lifestyle."
That's so vague, I get the feeling that there's no point looking up slang words in dictionarys

editedit: oh thanks Ngaged, I missed your reply somehow.
Still very vague, oh well i've lost interest :p

I don't blame her. I wouldn't want a boyfriend who thought he was entitled to my undying affection purely because he's a "rocker/mod dude".

Yeah, clearly all women everywhere date jerks because females just have terrible judgment. It's not that your behaviour is creepy, manipulative, or otherwise annoying.

Worse than anything is being totally retard to love a girl so much, and do absolutely nothing about it.
[rant] I mean, damn, she's gorgeous and totally different from anything I'd ever seen. But damn, I can't fucking talk to a fucking girl I dunno very well and like without: or shaking, or fucking saying nothing, or... she leaving with boredom... or something. Damn, she's from my class goddammit.[/rant]

Anyway, I'm hopefully going to Uni, so I'm sure she'll leave my head. [rant]the problem is whenever I see her, my hopes go high and I do... absolutely nothing special, just look, and it seems like she's looking to me and hopes go high again and then I rationalize and say to myself that it's that old impression that every lover have or something in the lines of that *breath* . Because of exams, I'll be seeing here for more two days...[/rant]

And yeah, Drathmoore, I'm probably like you. (uhm, no offense?)

I broke up with my boyfriend a while ago, and my two best friends are going out, and have no time for anybody else.

Did I mention that this also broke up my band, becuase now 50% of it are to busy with each other, and don't have time for us.

I was like you two years ago, man. Just tell her you like her. Seriously.

I was gonna tell her I liked her, but she left early. And she's going to Greece for the rest of the summer. Or not. I'm not sure of the situation.

But lemme guess, every time you see her, you get butterflies in your stomach, whenever she talks, you feel faint, when you hear her name mentioned, your knees buckle. Once you accept, nay, force yourself to come to terms with the fact that you will tell her, that'll all go away. Believe me, I know. I've found out from experience, and said experience happened about 2 or so days ago. Make sure you do it nonchalantly, too. Whhat's the worst that can happen? People find out, and you get teased for a few weeks, and then they won't give a shit, move on to the next great scandal. That happened to me firsthand as well. She probably won't ever talk to you again, but if that's the case, she doesn't like you, and you can forget about her easier.

Or you could never tell her, and hope to still be friends with her.

You could, as a friend put it "Wax eloquence about her physical traits, waiting for her to take action!"

You really will feel better about telling her, or someone else, at the very least, face to fae. It really really relieves stress.

Or, you could be entirely sarcastic, and this is all some sort of cruel joke played on me while you laugh at my foolishness, behind your moniters, and drinking your Red-Bulls, and talking about how I'm such an idiot. WELL IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN, MAN. NEVER. AGAIN.

YEAH.

Well, love is always a two person interaction. As obvious as this sounds, i dont think some people realize what has to happen for a relationship to work. How great a relationship will be is not determined by how great the girl is, and it is not determined by how awesome the guy is. The relationship rests on the interaction of the guy and the girl. So if it turns out that awesome girl isnt taking an interest into your personality, well she simply isnt your type, but "there are plenty of fish in the sea" (and vice versa with the sexes)

However, im sure thats not what you want to hear when you want to go after that 'perfect girl'... all i can say is try. There is more than one person out there to fall in love with (and quite some time) so at least the world of pressure isnt on your shoulders to catch him or her. If all else fails, you at least had good practice trying, to see if anything went wrong that you could change in the future :p

Hope this gives you another look at love lol.

How to get the attention of that guy or girl is sometimes the trickiest part. I obviously dont know the person who made the quote above, but it looks like he (you/ whatever) does not know how to be himself (yourself) around her. ASK if you want me to go on... (i wont be back on until tomorrow)
I execute position 12 of the Kama Sutra... Passion fills the room.

Part of Speech: n
Definition: the lower class; uneducated and ignorant people
Etymology: perh. Romany chav child

There ya go. :D

Love. Love sucks. Mostly because I'm never lucky with it. Maybe lucky isn't even the right word. Maybe it's just that I'm not that great of a person at all, and thus I am unattractive to ladies. This in turn makes Ngaged very lonely and depressed...as some of you may have seen a few years ago. The same feelings are still going on, but I guess, it's getting easier to cope with.

I don't even know what it is about me that ladies don't like. My initial idea was that I'm way too nice a person. I'm way too nice, and maybe I'm not very "guy-like". Maybe that's a turnoff. I have no idea. And I guess what I learned from this whole Love thinger is either I suck as a person, or maybe I don't yet know what it is that makes me attractive to others. I guess this could go for other people as well. And hopefully we are thinking its the second option, and we're still trying our best to be good people and hopefully attracting a lady who sees this in us in the process.

...That was like an essay. Kinda. Oops. XP

Guys, if you're under say, 25, and aren't tied down religiously then stop frettin' about luuuurrrvvv. Just enjoy your youth, have some fun. Chasing or obsessing after one girl isn't any fun, and it won't end well because at that age most people aren't looking for life-long partners. The bonus is, if you don't make one single girl into such a big deal, then you may even find it easier to flirt (or say hello, for people struggling with that step).
Drathmoore wrote:Especially for younger people, it's only really the "cool" kids that get all the girls/boys, which ticks me off.
No way, a handsome geek could totally get the girls. ;P
Girls do like a guy who's a good accessory, but perhaps these 'cool' people also share other qualities that you're missing?

Annoying, then possibly. That depends on your view. But I find the other two offensive. Very offensive. Unless it's meant to be satirical, of which then it's okay as a joke I guess.
The comics are satirising the 'nice guy' behaviour and demonstrating how it's actually creepy and manipulative.

These comics are funny, and offensive.
