Did you have an imaginary friend as a child?

Yes, but not really a "friend," but more of a character. Sort of like an ongoing movie that was played out around me, via imagination. He would go around on sort of a flying surfboard thing and collect these little gem-type deals that he put in a necklace. Each one gave him a different power to defeat whoever needed to be defeated. There was a whole storyline to it, with origins, family, betrayal, redemption, and a whole lot of people around me looking at that strange little boy making all of the "wooshing" noises. 'Twas epic.

hahaha, thats awesome. It sounds like a cartoon featuring a surfer from the mid 80's.

That totally reminds me, the Silver Surfer was totally another one of my imaginary friends. I mean, I say "friend" but really all he did was fly around and look like a badass. I never watched whatever show he was in, so I never actually knew what he did; all I knew is that he could fly around on a surfboard and was silver.

Oh, yeah. I had tons. They weren't quite imaginary though... mostly, my stuffed animals and the jaguars on my carpet and such would get up and wander around, usually fighting off all my imaginary enemies. My enemies usually came from scary movies I watched or from the from creepy cover illustrations on "children's" books. As I watched more scary movies and got more imaginary enemies, and I had to start imagining more friends to protect me... eventually, I couldn't remember all of them.

In retrospect, I may have been a disturbed child...

And I still have that "conscience voice" that sometimes I talk to (basically, it's talking myself).

Same with me. I don't remember having an imaginary friend, but now I have a habit of talking to myself. Sometimes I think I talk to myself more than I talk to others.

I had a T-Rex with a red baseball cap. he also had a name but i have forgotten it. He didn't do much, he would just act as backup for any of my arguments i had with my parents.

Anyway, i personally never had an imaginary friend, but I did love to create little lego citys (I say citys, they were pretty small and terrible...) and then make all the little lego people interact with one another. Usually involving some sort of violence.

I was picked on so bad when i was growing up that i had to grow up faster then what most people would have when they were in elementary school, i didnt believe in imaginary things except for numbers in math. so no i didnt have an imaginary friend...

I totally used to have one. I don't remember his name, but I remember that he was a MAX (lightrail train) operator.
I still talk to myself constantly. I think better that way, I figure.

Yoshi here, but then there were some random animals that always walked around after I turned 6. I'm not sure if they were friends or what, but it was cool.

Also, Kablizzy, *BEER* =/= *IMAGINATION* If all you cand o is drink beer, it's just enhanced reality. With imagtion, it could be a new reality, full of adventure! (I can't tell you how many times I wandered of int the forest thinking I was chaising some mythical creature.)

I actually did not have an imaginary friend. I was a creative child too...but even so, I didn't find the need for an imaginary friend. I did, however, enact imaginary role-plays with my real friends, using sticks as swords and whatnot. XD

Me and my friend would always do this with Dragonball or Redwall or something like that.

My brother an I did that. Five year difference, with me on the lower end. Was fun though, we basically punched each other and threw pillows hard. This one time he drve a hard object straight into my face and I had a headache for about 5 days after.

I only had imaginary friends when it was convenient, like when I was scared in my room or when I was feeling lonely.

Mine was Leo Decaprio and another was this big sister figure named Suzy.

I've only had an imaginary friend a few times, I say this because after a day I just completely forget about them.
