But my Social Studies teacher had a wiiiide range of music taste, from Metallica to Nirvana to Misfits, to stuff like Mozart and Johnny Cash.
He told my class:
My teacher wrote:Most rap these days is just "Shoot a cop, shoot a cop, beat that woman."

Your social studies teacher is wrong. Perhaps what they meant was that most mainstream rap tends to appeal to the lowest common denominator. But really, how many top 40 rock artists do you listen to on a regular basis? Why do you expect rap to be any different?

Furthermore, Metallica, Nirvana and the Misfits do not exactly represent a wide gamut of listening types.

If you look at the end of that sentence, I was trying to say that listens to some group from about every genre.

And Tanner, I know, that's what I think he meant. :p
I don't keep track of who's the top 40, but I might listen to them now and then.
I don't listen to a lot of rap(really just Beastie Boys).
