There's been a handful of inactive Reviewers as of late, which means that it's time to bring in new Reviewers who can take on the responsibility of featuring maps for the community. astheoceansblue has handed over the responsibility of selecting new reviewers to me. This means that instead of emailing NUMA you'll be sending a PM to Manus Australis with your applications.

The application process goes as follows:
- Find two maps on NUMA that you consider to be feature-worthy
- Write one sample review for each map (2 reviews total) of 50 - 100 words in length; no more no less
- Send me a PM with your two sample reviews, including your NUMA username
- A week or so after applications have been closed we'll announce who has filled the empty slots

Only 1 PM per person please. If you were not selected from the last round of applications you are welcome to submit your application again or submit a new one to me.

I will be selecting 3 people as a sort of blind judging panel. NO YOU CANNOT BE A JUDGE, I have hand-selected them. They will only be able to judge your reviews based on content since I will keep the authors' name secret from them.

Any questions or comments can be posted here. Applications are open as of now but will be closed as of July 24th.

Remember, take your time and make sure your review is free of any grammatical or spelling errors.

I'm assuming that if we've been picked for the panel, we don't need to re-apply? :3

Also yeah, count me in. It was pretty fun going last time.

Make sure to ask for links to the maps being reviewed. We had quite a few without them last time and it's a real pain searching through archives.

I guess for those who have submitted so far it's no big deal, I know who you are, but since the USERNAME CHANGE DAY, if you could submit your NUMA names along with your reviews that would be great. No need to do so for those who have already submitted. :)

So would this thread be the place to ask that my reviewer status be revoked? I don't really have the will to review maps anymore. If this isn't the right place, sorry :x

I might try out.
Currently playing maps and writing. :3
EDIT: I'm not quite done yet, I'm done. :3 But I have a question. Will we end up submitting the reviews to the site if we make it, or is it just to see how good we are?

Both.
You may later use your reviews if you make it in.

Rhekatou answered, but yes, you may submit your reviews that you used for your application. If they were good enough to make you a Reviewer then they must be good enough to use as a Feature.

Sorry, just had to do that. Always nice to see a new face 'round here. By the way, how many (active) reviewers do we have?
How many inactive?

But... you're wrong, because I'm not new. And "two" was in "two reviews". Hehe

Maybe you were on the old forums, but that account is new.

@Southpaw
How many 'active' reviewers are there?

I've just deleted most of the inactive reviewers, and there seems to be 19 reviewers left, some of those who I expect to be dropped off the list within the next month. There should be at least 15 reviewers at any given time to provide about 2 reviews per month. So there should be a few slots available to the best of the group who has applied so far.
