NReality not loading (at all)

I have NReality v6c2. I have WinXP Home, latest version of Flash, and a working internet connection.

The situation: I used to play NReality v6c2 on this computer. Then I moved and this computer got stored for several months. Before that happened, I copied that NReality v6c2 onto a thumb drive, and have been playing it fine on a different computer. I finally got this computer up and running again, so I copy it back over and delete the original folder (because I've made new files and deleted/changed older ones, so I figured that would be quickest). But that NReality didn't work, and unfortunately, I perma-deleted the old one (I wasn't expecting a problem). I never did try out the old one before I deleted it, so it's possible even the old one didn't work anymore.

The problem: N v1.4 runs fine (the one I copied over). It recognizes my .sol file and userlevels file and plays fine. But if I run NReality, the light-gray loading screen shows (with the white NReality text on the sides), but no loading actually happens. The transparent update comes in pretty quickly saying it's completed. Then it promptly goes back to doing nothing. Here's a screenshot after 5 minutes:

You can d/l NReality6d4 zip file again, and unzip all the content at a folder. Be sure to run the NReality exe with all other files in the same folder. It will work for sure.

Okay, that worked. I told you previously that I had already tried upgrading but it would do the same thing. The problem was that I thought the original n_v14.exe file would fulfill the role of n_v14.swf, but clearly I was wrong. Btw, v6d4 is much smoother and the drones don't lag this old computer, which is totally awesome!!!!!! :O :) :) :)

How'd you do that? And is it safe to play userlevels in?

In any case, I also wanted to point out one last thing:

That's not true. Or rather, it seems to be true sometimes and not true other times, I guess. Remember I said I just copied the files from a different computer? And that NReality worked fine on said computer? That's all true. Here's a screenshot of NReality working on that computer even though it doesn't have those files:



Any idea how that's possible? I never copied the column folders to that computer.
