Yeah... to tomorrow at about... two-ish GMT-6? If it's okay with him. I still might not be able to play. I will vote in the poll now.

Is this AM or PM? The latest I'm prepared to go for the start is 22:30 pm standard - I need my beauty sleep, after all :Pflagmyidol wrote:Yeah... to tomorrow at about... two-ish GMT-6? If it's okay with him. I still might not be able to play. I will vote in the poll now.

Fuck Benjamin Franklin and time zones all to hell. I'm talking about 8 PM Standard, which is (I think) 2 PM in my neck of the woods.

Decisions:
Point system - 1 point for draw, 2 points for victory
How will we play? - Live chess, if a player wants some match to be long, it will be long. But try not to use this unless necessary
How long will the match last? - 15 minutes per player

EdoI, are you going to use the "create tournament" option on the website? It just occurred to me that it might be a lot easier than organising the whole thing manually. If you are, you'll want to use the "Invite only" option on advanced settings amongst other things.

I'm aware of the option, and it's not for live chess.cheesemonger wrote:EdoI, are you going to use the "create tournament" option on the website? Edit: It's 16:02, and neither hmm nor chume14 are online. Great. I'm going to send a private message to everyone, now.
Edit 2: I've sent a private message to hmm and chume14. Their match will be played tomorrow in 16, if they don't appear again I won't postpone it any more.

Hey guys I hope you get this quickly. I can play now, but not in about twenty minutes. Let's play now, and fast. Whee!
EDIT: I'm on. I have until about 40 minutes from now, maybe a little longer. If it can't be done right now, let's play long chess over the next week.

I'll try to note cheese as quickly as possible. If he doesn't come, can I postpone it for tomorrow, same time?flagmyidol wrote:Hey guys I hope you get this quickly. I can play now, but not in about twenty minutes. Let's play now, and fast. Whee!

No, I don't think so. To be honest, I'm really thinking I can't participate in this--it's been too ridiculous a struggle for me to get in front of a computer today. If Seneschal doesn't get on in the next fifteen minutes, I'll figure out how to do long chess and start us off. Wait. He's white. If he's not on soon, he can start us off next time he logs on, I guess.

How long would a long match actually last? Will you be able to finish it in seven days?
@cheesemonger
Start a long match with flagmyidol.

We got pretty far, and now I have to leave. We'll continue over the week, I suppose.

At the moment it's 19:50, you've missed the timing.Flight wrote:Hm. I'm in Live Chess but you're not on the list. :(
Edit: Okay, this is bad, epic and funny in the same time. You came one hour earlier. When I got on the forum, you were online here but on chess.com. I've sent you a private message to tell you to come, and then you've disappeared from online users list not seeing the message.
I'll stay online for some time, I hope you'll come.
In order to prevent this from happening, please check the GMT time at the link I gave you in the first post. Summer time makes bad things happen.

I don't have you on my list. I'll log in and out there.Flight wrote:I've been on, and still am on.
Edit: So Flight and I had a game, he won after his good playing and few mistakes I've done.
I'm also worried about Donfuy. If he doesn't come, you two will play tomorrow at the same time.
Edit 2: It would be nice for this thread to have a pin, wouldn't it?

Hmm... Just waiting for Donfuy now. I thought I was going to be the one that misses the match...

The last time he was online was seven hours ago, I doubt he'll come. Unless he comes, tomorrow at 21 is okay?Drathmoore wrote:Hmm... Just waiting for Donfuy now. I thought I was going to be the one that misses the match...

I can try. 10pm should be alright, although I'd have to walk the dog earlier... Heheh.EdoI wrote:The last time he was online was seven hours ago, I doubt he'll come.
