It's most likely that we're going to postpone all the future rounds for one week, to catch up with the skipped match.
Also, thanks to smartalco for the pin.
Edit: Matches to be played:
Donfuy - EdoI
chume14 - flagmyidol
chume14 - Flight
cheesemonger - Donfuy
Drathmoore - hmm
flagmyidol - Tunco123
999_Springs - Drathmoore
EdoI - 999_Springs
If we can't do this by 12th of September, there will be halt untill they're played. So let's see, are the times written on the first posts okay with you?

How about if we play now? Be on the alternative server, I'm the white.999_Springs wrote:EdoI, I see you've moved my two games to September 9th and 10th. Could you move them back to 19:30 on the 7th and 8th?
Edit: Nevermind that. Well, if you can get Drathmoore to come today you can play it. About the other match - okay.
Edit: Donfuy, I won't make it tonight. Tomorrow?

1. It will remove the need for both people to be on at the same time, thus avoiding all problems of people not being able to be on at certain times and having to keep those times free, and reorganising fixtures and/or putting them off.
2. If both people are on at the same time, moves can still be exchanged pretty quickly if the players wanted to, so games often won't drag on for days as you might expect.
3. It removes the 15 minute time limit, which some people may find too short and consequently not play as well as they would have done (Three days should be plenty of time to make moves)
4. It will avoid connection problems with Live chess, which I understand quite a few people have had, and means we won't have to use the alternate server, which has horrible looking pieces and a fixed time limit.
5. Games can be played simultaneously on Online Chess without worrying about timing issues, so the whole tournament could be finished sooner rather than later, as you might expect.
Yeah...of course, I leave it up to EdoI to decide, but I definitely would prefer this system.

Anyway, you all have your private messages to wake you up, it seems that you're forgetting on this. How ever the situation goes on, the next round is definitely not being played this week.

I left a comment under the poll explaining why long matches > live chess, since they don't actually have to be long, if both players want it to be short.EdoI wrote:I really see no problems with the alternative server except for a little bit ugly pieces. Long matches also... I don't know, I'm just not a big fan of them. How about 20 minute matches?

I can only play correspondence chess, preferably on the site we all already have accounts on. As Seneschal pointed out, correspondence chess can be finished in an hour if both players are online. This is why it's advantageous. So, when my next game comes around, just challenge me to correspondence and we can begin at our leisure.

We're changing the system: in future we're playing Long chess only, unless both of the players express their wishes to play live, and they both agreed on the time.
So everyone, request/accept these matches:
Donfuy - EdoI
chume14 - flagmyidol
chume14 - Flight
cheesemonger - Donfuy
Drathmoore - hmm
flagmyidol - Tunco123
999_Springs - Drathmoore
EdoI - 999_Springs
Next round starts when this one is finished.

On your friends list click Challenge on the right of your opponent's username and avatar. Then click Advanced options that is under the Time per move input field. Under I Play As choose your color, and then Create new game.

When I try to accept the game invitation, a scripting error appears and I can't accept the game.
I'll try tomorrow on the computers at school which are running Internet Explorer at two versions higher than me, so just wait a bit to see how it ends up.
