Firstly, I need no help. Thanks anyway.

Secondly:

Abstract Image Tutorial Using Gimp

1. In this tutorial, we will be using Laurie's Signature as an example.
   
2. Start off by finding the render you want to use, in this case: Link
3. Copy this image into a new Gimp image; make sure the canvas is already at the right size. Make sure the background is transparent.
4. Resize the 1 and only layer containing the image so that it fits the canvas.
5. Copy the image again into a new layer, however this time don't resize it. Make sure there are no gaps, and that the image covers the whole canvas. This will be your background.
6. Move the larger layer to the back. Now go to "Layers" and click "Layer To Image Size". This will make things a lot easier.
7. Now to get to work. Click the "Smuge" tool. Change the brush to "Galaxy, Big" and adjust the rate to about 30 or 40. You may have to adjust this depending on what you're doing.
8. Smuge the background until you can't recognise it as a shape; more of a texture.
9. Go to the top layer and smuge the edges outwards to give it a dynamic effect. Use the same smuge settings; possible less rate.
10. Go to text and find the font you want and type in the name. Then make the text layer slightly transparent. You can also give it some effects, such as a small "Cubism" effect I used on this one. Then smuge with about 15 rate downwards on the text to give it a reflection-like effect.
11. Give the whole image a drop shadow of 0 offset, 10 blur and 100% opacity.
12. Save the whole image. Other effects can be added, such as color distortions etc.
