As a result of maestro's challenge I'm now stuck on Baroness, Jesu, and M83. Also The Roots and Aesop Rock.

Krallice - Dimensional Bleedthrough

This is some of the finest black metal I've ever listened to, and it's the genre I'm probably most picky about. Highly recommended.

Great soundtrack, if you like piano music, or just beautiful songs (see the one at the bottom).

Image
This, too, even if you haven't seen the movie. The main theme is amazing.

Other new-found soundtracks include the one to Titanic (James Horner - also did the music to Avatar), and the one to The Mission (Ennio Morricone - also did "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly" and other amazing pieces). Well worth buying the both of them, in my opinion.

Scenes From Hell by Sigh. I would describe this as pirate metal.

Got Ashes Against the Grain for christmas. It's probably one of my favourite albums at the moment.

I just recently discovered Alcest, and I like their style.

At the current moment I am listening to Krallice, which yahoozy recommended - and I have to say I like it. Oh, and I also recently listened to some Slayer songs, and I think for the first time I actually liked it.
