It's cool that you used this word because it sort of rhymed with "sagacious," I guess. But it means "lively," or "active," so the application wasn't quite there. I'm sure you'll do better next time after the long ban that's assuredly heading your way.

People can’t (shouldn’t) be reprimanded before a misdeed is actually done. If someone isn’t causing a problem at a certain time, then there’s no reason to be stopped at that certain time.
I'm just going to point out for your inevitable return next week that you seem to have disregarded the possibility of the car having already passed through populated areas, and being about to progress into new ones.

Oh, that and the fact that laws are not location specific within a single jurisdiction.

It doesn't matter where the hell you are. It's still too loud.

Cops are nice guys. The only reason they became cops in the first place is because they wanted to help people, so why would most of them be assholes? That's a ridiculous idea. Though they're not very pleasant when they chase you with dogs.

Nah, I get the impression that most of them went to law enforcement because it was the natural progression from playground bully. At least, the job seems to be a perfect fit for those sorts of people. But the fact remains that they perform a very necessary and very dangerous job, and that they're the best suited for keeping the worst of the punks out there in line, so I cut 'em a lot of slack even when they give me problems. Being as confrontational as cops are often criticized for is an effective way of communicating to the assholes who need to learn some manners that they're not to be messed with, and I think that'd be exactly my default attitude, too, if I was in their shoes.
The bottom line is, they're putting themselves at risk to keep you safe. And if you're putting others in danger, e.g. by speeding or by belonging to a minority race, then they are putting themselves at risk to protect everyone you're endangering, and you'd do well to realize that. The amount that they step on your toes is trivial compared to the safety they afford you.

On the subject of the behavior of police officers:
Cop punches teenage girl in the face.
My thoughts.

Admittedly, punching the girl in the face was probably a bad move, but otherwise I'm all the way with the cop on this one. The girl he was trying to arrest was resisting arrest like crazy; that is not the way to react to an attempt to arrest you, especially if you're innocent. I understand how the officer wouldn't feel the need to call for backup, but then he was left on his own trying to get the cuffs on that crazy hyperactive bitch. It's not like he could have just let her go and walk away -- she was resisting arrest, and she and her friend had assaulted him. That'd have made a statement that becoming violent, disrespecting police officers, racking up more misdemeanors were all totally acceptable things to do and affirmed your innocence.
Furthermore, it really bothers me that I've only seen this video in the context of it being an example of police officers acting like asshats, when to me it seems like it should be exactly the fucking opposite. The struggle is her fault, not the cop's. Her friend wouldn't have been punched if she didn't assault the cop while he was trying to arrest someone. Everyone watching would've been perfectly fine, but magically the blame is on the cop because she decided to throw a fit.

I'll admit that my first reaction to the cop punching the girl was to cringe but by the end of the video I thought it was completely justified.

I'd need to know more information to make a decision, but from what it looks like, his gun or mace should have been drawn giving orders instead of wrestling with them. Some people think this is Police Brutality, but if a cop is arresting you, you don't struggle. Period. You don't push a cop. Period.

Edit: Just read the whole story. So he saw these ladies jaywalking, and asked them to approach his patrol car. They were "Verbally antagonistic" and continued to walk away. He went to escort them back to the patrol car, when they started resisting. I don't care who you are, you spend the few minutes heading back to his car, take the ticket, and fight it in court if you think it's unjust. I'm constantly baffled that criminals think they can punch, kick, and scream at an officer without recourse, and then bitch and whine when they get their shit handed to them. Fucking despicable.

I support the law because I am tired of trying to talk to people at my job and previous jobs //50% of the time// and figuring out that dont have any idea what you are asking them because they don't speak english. Or anywhere in public really.

In fairness though, it is pretty fucking annoying. It should be required that we are able to function in society to a certain degree, I think. It's just stupid when you're a casheir, trying to serve someone who cannot even speak english.

Saying that you support a law that's supposed intent is to catch more illegal immigrants because you want fewer working non-English speakers in your state is why the law is a slight against freedom, the constitution and everything. If the dude is working at a convenience store, chances are he has a social security number, and chances are the signing of this bill will impact his life quality in some way.

This made me lol.
I live in a city that's gained some local notoriety for being full of illegal immigrants. I have personally known and worked with illegal immigrants from Mexico who hardly speak a word of English and split housing payments with the eight other immigrant families living in their room. It is pretty rare to find a fast food joint in this city whose kitchen staff is not 80% non-English-speaking Mexican. They're everywhere.
They get jobs because their services are cheap when paid in cash, because their managers were in their shoes and don't look closely at the social security numbers on the application when one is required, and because markets for necessities like cars and housing, in many places in this city, run more or less like barter systems than proper commercial establishments.

Of course, I do not mean to say that I'm in any way in favor of this Arizona bullshit. I'm just saying that the grievances used to justify it are at least facts.

(When I think of 'dem eeleegals stealin' our jabs, it always reminds my of my family's experience with a moving company when we moved to our current residence. We found their ad in a local paper and their rate was very cheap, so we called them up. It turned out that the manager was the only one who spoke any English, and that the entire team of movers were weary-looking Mexicans. We didn't ask any questions because the price was too good.
During the actual move-in, we found out that one of our new neighbors worked for a moving company and could have helped us out. We found this out because this fat redneck slob was yelling at us from across the street for hiring "some fucking illegals" who were "stealing all the fucking work from [him]" as he splashed his greasy wife-beater with his beer (10:00 AM) as he gesticulated wildly.
But the moving team was unfazed; they worked dutifully to move our things into our new home. They never showed any attitude, they handled everything with care, and they did it silently and efficiently. Overall, it was very professional and painless. We gave them all big tips.
I shudder to think of what our experience might've been like if we had overpaid Hillbilly Joe and his six inbred cousins to spend the better part of the day smashing our furniture carelessly into the walls of our new home.)

EDIT:
Oh, also, there's this new mom & pop donut shop that opened up recently. The only owner and employee seems to be this really kind and energetic Asian woman. When she attempts to speak English in her sweet little voice, I have no idea what she's saying, but the quality:price ratio is outstanding, and she gives me free donut holes!

Wow, I have one of those family Asian donut places right near me, too. There're usually at least fifteen relations of some sort hanging out in the ~1200 square foot shop, but you can't ever see the women because the men up front make them stay in back and yell at them whenever they get bored.
