When I play N and happen to leave my cursor in the window, things end pretty bad. Whenever my ninja goes anywhere near the cursor in a map (Note: If the cursor is in the tiles, then I'm usually alright) my eyes suddenly focus on the cursor and I die. Is anyone else OCD when they notice their cursor is in the playing area?

My cursor always seems to cover a mine that I end up running into.

I move the cursor completely out of the screen and into the monitor's border whenever I'm doing something that doesn't require a cursor - even typing this post.

I have pretty much the same problem as toasters, but my eyes also just plain get distracted by the cursor, so I move it off-screen.

When I am trying to do jumps on the same spot consistently I like to mark that spot with my cursor :D
(I know grid is there but it's difficult to count squares when running especially when a large part of the map is empty)

That is a good idea. I have put my cursor on mines , such before, now I make a habit of putting it to the side whenever I play a level.

A lot of times I also get caught focusing on the cursor, even when it is in a tile.

I do the "cloaked mine" thing pretty often too, though if I'm speedrunning something I usually mark particularly bothersome parts with the cursor, which both saves me from running into hidden things and lets me make the same jump repeatedly.
I don't ever find myself distracted by it though. If anything, it's the opposite, therefore the mine-collision issue.
