My run on 77-0 uses definitely faster route (got like 107.875 with missed (the ending was quite perfect)), if someone want's to throw Pheidi off 0th's table :P
Also, on 46-4, THIS:
I don't know what the demos shows exactly, but i think they are all pretty much showing the 100% possibility of doing it, so if anyone want's to try, it isn't really easy :P
But i think that would be one of the most amazing runs out there if performed by human, i came pretty close.

Here's something for 16-3.
Darkshadow suggested it in the post a run thread in July 2009 or something; I discovered it independently of him two weeks later but couldn't really pull it off (my top20 run on that level dates from back then, I need an extra jump to get all the gold and I have to run back underneath the tiles at the end instead). I tried it again recently and it IS definitely faster than xaelar's 380f run, as i've managed 363f with some missed gold. The problem is the one piece of gold highlighted in blue. The current top few runs on the leaderboard get it with a similar route but don't jump up to the middle platform afterwards. I don't know if the route is possible.

It is impossible to get that gold on the fall. If you'll notice in kryX's run he misses that gold and gets the heightless cj to get all of the gold in the center. I discussed this with Dark when he came up with his alternate route. I don't know if your route would be enough faster so that you could do an extra jump there to get the other gold.

Yes this innovation is different but the gold he is refering too still applies to kryx's run because since the gold is symmetrical and you are trying to do the same motion is a mirror image. There is a trade off being that you can either get the gold marked as blue or the gold opposite of the blue one in the same row since it is four gold across and you can only grab 3 across at the level of snap. Therefore an extra jump is needed to get all of those gold, but is 999's route fast enough so that with the extra jump you will still be faster. I don't think so, but I could be proven wrong.

If we look at xaelar's, the red part in the innovation is the same in his run. Then, the blue part changes, but the first jump at the end of the red part is simply longer than xaelar's one. I don't think that the trouble with be to get that "opposite blue gold", but to get the jump long enough (without missing the lowest right gold) to reach the exit door (which is closed at this time).

Just a little something I noticed while discussing with van on IRC. It is actually quite hard so it probably won't be useful, but the trick is after you wj the 5 tile don't hold jump, just do a 1 frame jump and you won't hit the mines before you wj again. Doing these two wjs should be faster than falling and using the LP.
