They make us look bad.
We need to change the terminology again, apparently.
One hilarious note, though, is that the article calls "atheists" who believe in heaven irrational, while giving a pro-Christian argument. No contradiction there.

Goddamnit.
I really want to see some statistics that show some differences between people who do not believe whatsoever in paranormal or supernatural things versus all the people who do, because the word "atheist" unfortunately includes a whole lot of New Age garbage that simply happens to not be organized religion.
Yet I'd argue that these things that 31% of "atheists" believe are still nowhere near as dangerous as many popular organized religions.

I respect people's religious beliefs but do not believe in them myself. I do believe telekinesis and stuff like that is possible.

Nobody will probably read this sentance, as it is the second to last one, so put it in your sig if you did. -brainwasher's sig.

If you want a quick buck (or a million of them), pursue that and talk to James Randi.lookatthisisgoodatn wrote:I respect people's religious beliefs but do not believe in them myself. I do believe telekinesis and stuff like that is possible.

Oh, shit no. Athiest's don't have a figurehead to rally behind, or an inexplicable higher power that can be used as reason for everything and anything they do.Tsukatu wrote:Yet I'd argue that these things that 31% of "atheists" believe are still nowhere near as dangerous as many popular organized religions.

Ice Climbers are awesome. Deal with it.
