Haha thanks, its been a long time without playing lat everybody would need to shake off some cobwebs after so much time ;) Although actually you aren't rusty at all for not having played for so long, its impressive indeed. At this rythm you'll be kickin' some asses on Metanet highscoring soon.

Glad it worked a bit, I did feel the difference when I did it on Win7.
As for that guy, that must be an admirer then :P He mostly plays userlevels but he has 3 Metanet Top-10s I think.

Nice innov indeed btw, used it to improve my run by a couple tenths.

Pretty sick runs on 129-1. I've never been able to pull off the chimneying through locked doors trick and I was wondering, is it all about speed or is there some timing involved?

lol sure looks like it. I may try to retake it, but that's a pretty sizable lead at this point. When I got that 110.000 score I knew there was still a lot left in the level. I compared our runs in demo mode, and dan had me by a good 10+ frames right until the chimney up to the door. I was able to go pretty much straight from landing after the last set of gold straight up to the chimneying, while he slowed down to get a better angle up and in. So that was maybe a half a second swing.

To answer MiBeM's question, I think there has to be some timing involved. Go take a look at the last several posts in the Metanet 0th thread (which title looks like a dude shrugging his shoulders right now... thanks van) to see the discussion that's spawned. Really, about the entire last page worth is pretty interesting and I think worth reading. To be a little more specific, you have to have a pretty good amount of speed, but for a chimney of the length in the 129-1 route you just can't get enough pure speed to blaze past the first door, so there has to be some sort of timing needed to make it through. Personally, I've never really known what that is, my usually terrible chimneying tends to put me through every once in a great while, only often enough to me that it seems completely random.

As an aside, I want to see what ska can get on 121027 since you made that comment that started this whole mess on 129-1, and it looks like you've never posted a score there.

200013 was a pretty neat run, but not neat enough :) And your start on 15 you make it look deceptively easy to get that first corner jump, good job there.

Fun levels, took both. I did 12 in hs mode because it also submits to sr, which doesn't happen the other way around, remember that, it's beneficial.
