That first one is really good and promising. The second one though, is slower, I already playtested all possibilities (in that particular section) when taking the 0th the first time (doing a cj is not faster either).

Yeah I figured as much about the second one. I didn't spend much time getting a perfect normal route run to test against. As for the first innovation unfortunately it does seem to be position dependent. If the ninja has the wrong footing you won't be able to get a clean jump out of the gap off the 5 tile so it is pretty difficult. (At least it was for me, by the time I finish this post you or macro will have already pulled it off.) Luckily it is in the beginning of the run.

Regarding the first innovation: I'd thought of this idea for years, including the other day when watching the top runs. I assumed—like TRO has already been stated in this thread—that this hasn't been used yet because of its sheer difficulty, which is based on positional luck and timing. All I can say is 'good luck' to anyone who tries to implement it in a 0th attempt.

I should say that is FBFed this so the WJs are perfect; however, I did not have to do any tricky left and right directional stuff to get the angle for the BBCK. After the second WJ I hold right the rest of the demo.

I thought of this, but didn't use it since I personally find it hard to get the right timing for the jump.

Yeah I noticed MiBeM uses this in his speedrun the other day (which is actually super clean, but he doesn't beat the drone at the start).

I've submitted a run using most of the innovs here, but I screwed up pretty much everywhere, that start is annoyingly difficult.

Nice run, though. It may be pretty far off the pace, but if it wasn't for the mistake when leaving the complex you were right on pace with Eddy. His run is just so clean all around even with the innovations it is going to be tough to beat. But good on you for executing all of them in a good run.

Well that is interesting. I am surprised you were able to die on the wall form that far out. It seems like it takes a lot more force to die by wall than floor or ceiling.

I'm not sure the ck makes much difference to the speed of the run, since for the thwump to not kill you, you have to be at least a certain height off the floor, so you have to wait to fall into the exit either way.
Although I didn't really test this so it might be possible to hit the thwump from a lower height.

If you just watch Kool's run against mine in demo mode, we're practically identical at the moment of the thwump ck. But, because of the different jumps, Kool hits the exit 3 frames faster than me. In a frame war map like this, that's an incredible difference.

Okay... I knew I should have actually watched the run first! :P

New rule: If a non-Metanet 0th run is taken with an innovation, (and by that, I mean everything excluding the levels in 00-99 on highscore mode), the poster has the option to either post the innovation here, or in the speedrun/NReality thread; whatever the poster feels is more relevant. TRO: you cool with this?

I would prefer 0th posts to go in the applicable thread of the 3 we already have, but we don't have enough traffic on this forum for it really to be a problem. So whatever works.
