I'm not sure how I did it, but somehow I managed to do a walljump between two launchpads placed one tile apart. This was something that I previously thought was impossible.

Here's a demo of me doing it:
(Some other's have done it to on this map as well)
Apparently, according to wedgie, it's not new... however, it's still an accomplishment for me.

well, you can do that with mines so it makes sense you should be able to do that with jumppads :|
and so it goes, and so it goes, and so will you soon i suppose.

no way.
launchpads are also 'taller' making it harder to get between them.
the same principle applies, though.

No it doesnt ,, im my demo theres a much tighter jump cos theres no room execpt for one frame ,, otherwise you just bounce off so the same principle doesnt applyeganic wrote:WHOAH!Meta Ing wrote:Launchpads are larger than mines, eganic.

i managed to get two demos of me doing that wall jump on that map you just submitted
and im starting to think it depends on the angle at which you enter the launchpads.
or maybe not.

I'll post a demo for proof if I ever manage to do this again.
Has anyone ever seen this before?

Haha. I was just about to post to say that I've done this many times before, but it seems that I was beaten to it. Damn, that map was 2006.

I'm guessing you know how to pull it off consistently, then, wedgie?
If so, any tips?

Erm...
As you can see from that demo, it's not something that I can pull off first time. It's a really tricky thing to do. You just have to aim for the centre of the 2 and try not to move at the pads with too much momentum.
I vaguely remember someone doing a wallkick over a pad or something really crazy like that. But either way you want to basically jump and as close to the pads as as you possibly can without actually touching them and getting pushed away.
That's all I can say really. Aim at the middle, experiment with the angle and don't go into it with too much speed. Imagine, if you will, that the ninja is just jumping alongside the pads and then just finding a tiny little gap to fit his leg in to kick against the wall.
Trial and error.
I would also like to point out that I am not the first person to ever do this. I saw this done by people long before that demo. :/

unless you can do it consistently, without fbf, you cant do it.
