This more started in Vent, and I want to see your opinions. I realize that most of the stuff wouldn't be balanced, but everyone's gotten out of something crazy. Also, I vote Marvel.

I can't really see Spiderman beating up Shatner, but I think I'm going to vote for Marvel.

It would be Star Trek, if it was everyone from every series. I'm sure it would end with Kirk and Scotty laughing.

Agreed. Like, if this is in space, the fuck is Wolverine supposed to do? Float around in space clawing at shit?

If it isn't, and it's like Away Team versus some Jedi versus a Marvel allstar team, than Marvel wins this hands down. Cyclops has phasers for eyes, and they're never set to stun. The hell are you supposed to counter that?

To conclude, this fight is retarded. Now, a Star Trek versus Star Wars versus Stargate fight I could go for.

studebacher, how is a person supposed to combat a black hole? in the Expanded Universe of Star Wars, Emperor Palpatine summons a black hole and uses it to attack the New Republic fleet. that'd be pretty tough to avoid. Jedi can see into the future, and can deflect energy with their lightsabers, so they'd be able to defeat the cyclops' phaser eyes pretty handly. marvel superheroes are all trash; comics in general are all just junk.

I agree. What the hell are people who can deflect blaster shots back at the person who fired them going to to about eye beams? Perhaps they think they can just wave their hand and make him forget they're even there? The fools.

Right, as if the Jedi would do anything but sit around and debate, stopping only to admonish the only Jedi with the balls to act. If it was an all-star team of Qui-Gon Jin, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Jolee Bindo, I might give it to the Star Wars universe. The Jedi at large? Don't even joke.

What it boils down to is this:

Q Vs. Galactus.

To my knowledge, Star Wars have noone who could touch either entity, so they're out of the game from the off. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hm.
Let's say that this is every generation/movie/book/video game from each universe. Would Galactus try eating the two Death Stars? And could their lasers destroy it? That's something you might want to consider.

As far as the people who aren't insanely powerful and/or omnipotent, I'd say Star Wars would win. If it were just the people who aren't the pawns in this chess board (I'm guessing all of the Marvel universe, all of the Jedi/Sith/Dark Jedi+Boba Fett, and I don't know who in Star Trek), I'd still say Star Wars would win. If it was space, the Star Trek universe might stand a chance against the Star Wars universe, if the Jedi weren't trained as pilots (Marvel would flat out lose in space), if it were land, the Star Wars universe would be fighting against an army of superheroes on a battlefield littered with red shirt-wearing bodies, plus those other Star Trek guys. Star Wars has the advantage in that situation because the Jedi/Sith can harness the Force. I mean, if you have someone so powerful that they can pull an entire Star Destroyer out of the sky and onto the ground, the other side is pretty much fucked.

@atob: the two universes act differently, i think. the Force users of Star Wars operate off of the Force, while Q operates off of...something. i'm not sure. his powers. whatever. but in order for them to fight, both forces would have to be present.

If we're talking Xmen level superheroes, then their superpowers would destroy Jedi.

Xavier's massive psionic power Vs. simple Jedi mind tricks.
Cyclops's force beam Vs. Force push.
Adamantium Claws and Healing Factor Vs. Lightsaber and Cloth Robes.
Magneto. Just Magneto. Goodbye lightsabers for a start...
And so on.

The fight's nowhere near balanced. Jedi's are martial artists with slight telepathic talent, and Star Fleet are just smart bods on space ships with above average CQC skills and Phasers (phaser's blocked by Jean Grey and Proffesor X's telepathy, and Forge's technology, etc...).

Even in space, you're forgetting the Shi'ar empire, The Skrulls, The Kree's etc... And even if we're just talking X-Men, they have access to Shi'ar tech , The Beast's Science, Forge's inventions, etc...

No contest.

atob, in terms of physical power, the Star Forge (which is fueled by pure dark side energy) can produce a literally unlimited fleet of ships and people. Force-users are much, *much* more powerful than you give them credit for. like i said, Emperor Palpatine once summoned a black hole and controlled it. you've seen what can happen with force lightning. Sith are also capable of forming large amounts of energy and directing them towards targets, easily outgunning the Cyclops.

If you're talking Star Forge's and Black Hole's, I'm talking Galactus. Galatcus would eat the black hole.
The Reason Why Galactus Wins The Universe.

Galactus possesses cosmic power beyond most forms of measurement (The Power Cosmic). He can levitate; restructure molecules; convert matter into energy and vice-versa; project energy with enormous concussive force; teleport himself, others, and objects across space, dimensions, and time; erect virtually impenetrable fields; restore others from any injury, even total disintegration; and endow or enhance powers within others. Even his heralds, imbued with the smallest fraction of his power, can manipulate matter and energy far beyond human comprehension. Though he generally avoids physical conflict, Galactus can bolster his own strength beyond any known system of measure. Galactus is telepathic, able to scan the thoughts of virtually any known being.

To sustain his immense power, Galactus requires energies derived from a biosphere, a planet able to sustain living beings, though life does not actually have to be present. Though Galactus can extract and absorb this energy himself, he generally employs his immense Elemental Converter to perform the process, as it is far more efficient and avoids the expenditure required of him. Sometimes the planets on which he feeds are left barely habitable; other times he consumes all life and water, leaving it devastated and barren; most often the process reduces the planet to space rubble. When Galactus was newly formed, the energy of a medium-size Earth-like planet sustained him for over a century. Now he needs to feed about once a month; in addition, when preparing for a massive expenditure of energy, he may absorb planets more frequently to amplify his power stores. Conversely, when he does not feed within his allotted time, his energies will dwindle, and he will even begin to physically shrink as they drop dangerously low. His body totally converts the energies he absorbs for his life functions and activities without any waste products.

Though seemingly destroyed on several occasions, Galactus is always restored to full power eventually. In addition, despite being a physical being, Galactus can adopt a manifestation (M-Body) from the Dimension of Manifestations in order to commune with abstract beings, such as Death and Eternity.

It's a silly debate anyway, especially as the Jedi stuff you're talking about is essentially fan fiction, and we all know how ridiculous that can get...

PLUS, Batman has the cool factor. And maybe Iron Man. Not Spiderman. But Wolverine, too. Edit: Fucking Rorschach.

From an outside perspective, I doubt anyone in the Star Trek universe has any cool factor whatsoever.

but atob, Force-users can do all those things as well. fan-fiction? the Expanded Universe is mostly not fan-fiction. in fact the Expanded Universe is where General Grievous originally came from. a Force-user, if strong enough, could eat the black hole as well. look at it this way. galacticus and Force-users both operate off of the same sort of thing; a life-force that is found everywhere in the galaxy. the difference, however, is that Force-users can become very close to the Force, and eventually become One with it. there is a major difference between using the life-force and being One with it. to me, all of Marvel seems like fan-fiction, because of how over-dramatic, contrived, and senseless it seems. there are a thousand flipping world destroyers in Marvel. and then of course, just to further the plot, there needs to be another one that is capable of beating them all. it's just too commercial and too focused on the wow factor. in Star Wars, the only fan-fiction you get is in the deepest recesses of Wookiepedia. it's not focused on drama or flashiness. it's much more realistic. that's why i don't like Marvel and its copies (all other comics out there).
