Hey, thanks. :)
And I love racing in rainy weather! Oh, man. We had the county 3200 a year ago on a cool evening, under the lights and in a slight mist. What an atmosphere! Definitely an experience I'd like to repeat. I guess that's the cross country in me too. Actually, for the first two to three weeks of this spring season, it got cold and rainy /just/ for meet days. If we had a meet Tuesday, Monday and Wednesday would be beautiful, but all bets were off on Tuesday. You'd have had a field day. ;)
The weather yesterday was pretty nice. A bit sunny and warm, but we ran early enough in the morning (somewhere between 10:30 and 11:00) that it was still okay for running.
That's a shame about your coach. Good to see you were able to work through it, though. If I remember the old leaderboards correctly, 10:35 is a personal best for you, no? And consistency is certainly better than I could manage in the 3200 this season; I was /all/ over the place. I'm sure you'll see some big improvements as you rally into your senior year. The culmination and finality of it all can be a great motivator. Plus, you'll be another year older, stronger, and smarter. That always helps. Most importantly, though, just keep enjoying it. That's what it's all about, right?
A 1000-mile-esque thread would be cool for the summer. We should see if we can find Hendor and get those leaderboards back up, too. What running forums are you on, by the way? I'm a DyeStat-er myself. I don't post much, but I peruse a good bit.
Man, I need to slow down on the tower-posting. o,O
Edit: Double-checked the old-forum thread, and 10:35 is a big PR for you according to the old leaderboard. So are the other times you mentioned. Very nice work. ;)
Double-Edit: Haha, I already mentioned that county 3200 in an old-forum
post.
