So that was your sole problem?

On an unrelated note, I got stung by about thirty bees one time, when I rolled down a hill and right into their nest.

I'll assume nausea counts as pain. In February I caught the stomach flu and was throwing up all night. When I wasn't throwing up I was feeling debilitatingly nauseous.

most physical pain, I think 2 summers ago when I dropped a 5-pound weight on my left big toe and popped the nail bed out.,

Embedded the blade of a box cutter in my right middle finger while cutting carpet.

I don't know if that's the most pain I've ever been in. When I was younger, we had set up this slide made out of a plank of wood and a metal rack; once while I was sliding down the wood slipped off the rack and hit the ground, while I was still near the top.

I also fell off a trampoline onto the corner of a metal chair arm. I dunno.

the one thing i remember is when my parents were replacing a carpet in my house so they had pulled the old one up, revealing the strips of carpet tacks.

One day i was walking through the room and slipped and fell over backwards so my back fell exactly onto a strip of tacks that were face-up for some reason. It sucked.

Not the most pain I've been in, but the last two times, consecutively, I've left my room to go get coffee, I've kicked my ring toe into a hard plasticky pointy bit that juts out from one of my suitcases. Same toe, same part of suitcase, same relatively quick motion. Honestly I'd rather have a broken toe than the amazingly lasting pain that results from this kind of trauma.

Most pain was when I sliced a chunk out of hand with a ham slicer, at a deli I used to work at that didn't have a mesh glove as required by OH&S. Although OH&S can often be a load of bollocks, if you ever go near a ham slicer, use a fucking mesh glove. Twelve stitches for a 1cm^2 patch of skin is a lot. I couldn't sleep that night, even after watching the same season of Will and Grace twice. It's boring enough the first time ...

I broke both my wrists fairly severely when I was thirteen. I'd climbed a rope to disentangle a tree we wanted to fell from some other sapling that was in the way and when I was coming my foot slipped out of a loop and I fell onto my back with my arms cushioning my fall, I was incredibly winded as well.

One time I got a sliver under my fingernail from a shitty doorframe, it did not hurt at all. What /did/ hurt was a doctor sticking a needle under the fingernail, and injecting the space between the nail and my flesh with fluid, and then proceeding to rip the sliver out with a hook-like tool.

EDIT: I also broke my radius after failing epicly on a ski jump, but that didn't really hurt, as I got a vicodin prescription.

The worst pain that I've ever been in is when I dropped a stapler on my balls.

Worst pain this year was when I fractured my arm when I tried to jump over the drainpipe with my pogo stick.

when i was 5 i decided to see if whatever was cooking was done yet, so i cleverly opened up the oven and picked up the baking tray, it was then that i realised my plan had a flaw in it... anyway with the advanced "surgery" i had plastic bags on my hands for a week, i think they made me wear them on to stop me from picking anything up, on the plus side i got a week off school

I was holding a stapler and it slipped out of my hands and onto my testicles. It still hurt the next day ;_;

You haven't hit puberty yet. A couple of years later and that would have been very deadly indeed. The reason I know this is because someone softly throwing a football at your balls hurts, and getting them punched hurts like hell and lasts weeks.

Actually, no, the worst pain I've ever been in was from going commando while wearing jeans. The pain I got came shortly after taking a piss. Infer as to what happened.

PROTIP: Never go commando while wearing jeans. Or any zippered garments when free ballin', for that matter.

EDIT: It's funny, I've been meaning to post this for a while, but after reading some previous posts, have realized that my timing was surprisingly good. Interesting...

Same exact thing happened to me in 4th grade. Luckily, I didn't need stitches. Still hurt like hell though.

The worst pain I think I've ever experienced (due to the fact it lasted for a long time) happened after I came back from a trip to China. I got some sort of allergic reaction that was itchy and painful, and it spread to the front of my hands, and it was extremely painful to even close my hands for days. I couldn't even write for a week.

However, the most pain I've ever been in was when I had a kidney stone. Hurts, don't it, Blackson? I had to go to the doctor, wait an hour, and finally ended up going to the hospital. After writhing on the floor in pain at the hospital, it just passed through my kidney and the pain was completely gone. Before they even called my name.

This is where I'm having trouble understanding. Did it travel in a parabolic path away from the earth's surface, so as to be traveling parallel to the ground when it was able to strike your balls (which are, after all, under you.)?

We were young and my brother was pissed at me. We were in the car, and I had my hand out the window, and my brother closed the window on my hand, breaking most of the bones in it.

Walking the dog. No lie, she started pulling me and then stopped suddenly, causing me to trip over her and land on my wrist. It became fractured and I wore a cast-like thing for almost a month (and a few days before vacation, no less), and then we got a call saying that I actually needed a cast or else my hand my be immobile forever (it was the wrong kind of cast, it was like many towels and bandages wrapped together) and then I got my green cast, for a month.

The most traumatizing I can remember is when they tried to take out my blood and it didn't come out. They tried both arms, no dice. Just got stuck in the tube. It didn't hurt, but it was disturbing as blood from both arms just squirted out a bit when he took out the needle. Later I hear I actually have natural thick blood. Go figure.

A triangle of friends and I were playing around once, and I balltapped this one kid. He plotted with the other corner for revenge. Later, we were playing football and his other friend was next me, about to hand me the ball. Totally oblivious until then, he rams the football into my crotch, and it hurt for days after. That is probably the worst pain I've ever been in.

I was a four year old, and it was naptime. You know those mats with the wierd hookey ends, a little bigger than velco? Well, some kid thought it was funny and snapped it back when it was just the right angle over my foot. Tore out my big left toenal completely and hurt like hell for a few months.

I *almost* went into extreme pain when somebody thought it would be funny to throw up a very large chunk of ice in the air, which narrowly missed my head by inches...
