ampburner was the only person who was selected by both people I asked to help choose reviewers as well as myself. He had one of the best applications of the entire process. I didn't announce him because I wasn't sure which account he wanted to be a reviewer on, and then I banned (or maybe I simply disabled ratings) on the account he didn't want.

I agree in the past he has been an awful person, given me much grief as well as the rest of the staff. People can change, and though I'm not too quick to accept that he has changed I can at least give him his reviewer status which he earned by writing some of the best reviews that I've seen on NUMA.

Apologies if this sends a message that causes mixed feelings about the staff of NUMA or the example that is supposedly being shown here. I hope this clears things up.

There's no guarantee that he knows how to change his IP address anyway; I say IP ban, and if he still comes back, I say we just let him; if he's sad enough to go to those extents to keep returning to a community where nobody likes him, then I guess we'll just have to ignore him.

That's not entirely true. It's his comments that nobody likes. There's nothing wrong with his maps. In fact, though I haven't played enough of them to judge fairly, I think I like him as a mapper.

What's left to discuss is why after 5 years of NUMA we still don't have IP checks/bans. We also don't have a moderator log. As far as a moderation staff goes, NUMA is lacking in some pretty important features. We have no paper trail for anything and now we've probably come to the point where it's blindsiding us.

I've sent an email to Arachnid about this, but I doubt he'll do anything about it anytime soon. Let's just hope he decides to check his email this week.
