Technically, the entire 80s column is also userlevels, similar to the A and B columns in v2. But since they were packaged as part of the official release, they get bundled into the Metanet levels. Same thing happens with those bonus columns in v2. The real distinction is what is part of the 'official' set of levels, and what has been made by players after release, which is what we call userlevels. In the case of 1.4, there was a level editor (and NUMA) from earlier versions, and M&R included a column of levels that users had made in the expansion to 100 episodes in 1.4.shomman wrote:Ahh ok thanks for clarifying. Congrats on the top10. You should be able to make your goal without too much extra trouble :) I also found the long levels to be easier to highscore starting out also, because there's a lot more room for small errors that don't kill your position. I think its because a lot of people get frustrated with the length of the run, and so they don't take the time to actually finish a clean run throughout. The simple answer is that many of the 80s levels have not been cleaned to the extraordinarily high standards that most of the Metanet-created levels have. 84-0 is a good example of this; specifically, when LAT took the 0th to be almost 9 seconds ahead of 1st a few years ago. You will probably also find that by and large, the 80s levels have the largest differences between 0th and 19th when compared to the other columns. Other prominent examples include: 85-3, 89-4, 87-1, 85-1, 84-3, 82-1 and 83-3.lifdoff wrote:15th on 84-4, and I only AGD-1'd it.
Why was that so easy? Easiest Top 20 I've ever taken.
